The viltrox 25mm is a great match with the sony A6700. The low light focus is much better on the a6700. I did have some challenges on the A6500.

    • Very sharp, good contrast and color, Slightly slower autofocus compared to other lenses.

Tried the lens on both an A7S3 and EV-E10 II and it worked nicely. The autofocus was accurate and sharp, and the color and contrast from the lens was excellent. The sharpness of the final picture was really awesome even at F2.0, and got better when you stopped down. The edges were slightly less sharp on full frame, but it all got pretty great by F4.0, but was very usable and artsy at F2.0~F2.8. The only knock was that the autofocus was a little slower compared to some other 50~55mm primes. It's not unreasonably slow, but noticeable when compared side by side. For the price though, it's a solid focus speed and the focus is accurate. The build is quite great. It's a higher quality plastic, and it comes with a lens hood. The focus ring feels nice and that's really the only thing on the lens outside of a USB-C port to upgrade it. For video the lens looks and works great. The autofocus works well and the lens doesn't have aggressive focus breathing, so it looks awesome on a gimbal. On the A7sIII the results are quite stunning. I don't know if the lens a great value as there are so many 50mm's that are really good, and prices are so different now compared to when I first started buying lenses. I wouldn't be disappointed buying this lens at the result, but also vividly remembering being able to buy STM 50 1.8 canon lenses for $99 new, so the asking price of $199 for a 50 2.0 Lens seems so so. ... show more
