I didnt want to spend too much on Fujinon Lens but this one works for now, It’s beautiful! It’s AF is really fast and responsive, better than the kit lens in my opinion. For the price, it’s very much worth it.

For the price I was skeptical of the quality of this lens but it has been great so far. The autofocus isn’t lightning fast but is solid! Has about the perceived speed of my 18-55 kit lens from Fuji I didn’t measure anything though. The image quality is great, I’m sure the Fuji 56mm is sharper but by a hair. The bokeh looks great for portrait sessions and is definitely pleasing. Build quality is solid surprisingly so, feels a little lighter than a Fuji lens but is solid built. The only thing I wish this lens had was weather sealing but that isn’t enough to remove a star really. The 56mm 1.2 doesn’t have it either.

I have tried a number of third-party prime lenses for my Fujifilm XT4 through rentals and found this lens to be the right combination of quality optics and price--it pairs well with my system and offers sharp focal points, with little discernible autofocus lag. When you compare this to the Fuji branded lenses that cost three times the price, it's a great substitute.

I just opened the box and snapped these two photos. Both pics are in a dimly lit room. The one with the shallow DOF is from this lens. The other is from the Fuji 18-55, at 55, with max aperture, 4.5. See the difference? I debated getting this lens, afraid I wouldn’t get much improvement in subject separation. I think it does. By writing this review, I’m getting an extra 12 months of warranty from Pergear. Please don’t think that’s why I gave it 5 stars, though I may not have done a review otherwise.

The 56mm F1.4 is the second lens I purchased from Viltrox for my Fuji X-mount camera and like the 85mm F1.8 it has exceeded expectations. Now I am not a professional photographer, or a pixel peeper, but I have worked in the arts as an illustrator for over twenty-five years. This lens gives me all the qualities I am seeking in telling an interesting story with my images, good color accuracy, decent sharpness, and nice bokeh. It performs well when autofocusing too. I could not ask for more from a lens for the price.

i have been very satisfied with the quality of the images that come from this 56mm Viltrox lens, the bokeh and low light performance is as good as can be with a APSC sensor. Excellent results for both photography and videography.
