I am blown away by the quality of this lens. It is solidly built, came nicely packaged, and has great optics. The autofocus is fast, quiet, and effective, and the color rendering is right on. It's worth every penny of the asking price, for sure! Update: It keeps getting better. This lens is going to spend a lot of time on my X-T2.

This Viltrox is premium! The photos it captures are crisp and bright and just as clean as the XF version by Fuji. Extreme pixel peepers may notice microscopic differences in sharpness, etc. but to the naked eye this is an amazing value. Nice metal body makes it a bit heavy, but gives it that durable premium feel.

I have tried a number of third-party prime lenses for my Fujifilm XT4 through rentals and found this lens to be the right combination of quality optics and price--it pairs well with my system and offers sharp focal points, with little discernible autofocus lag. When you compare this to the Fuji branded lenses that cost three times the price, it's a great substitute.

The 56mm F1.4 is the second lens I purchased from Viltrox for my Fuji X-mount camera and like the 85mm F1.8 it has exceeded expectations. Now I am not a professional photographer, or a pixel peeper, but I have worked in the arts as an illustrator for over twenty-five years. This lens gives me all the qualities I am seeking in telling an interesting story with my images, good color accuracy, decent sharpness, and nice bokeh. It performs well when autofocusing too. I could not ask for more from a lens for the price.

Great autofocus, solid build, beautiful picture quality. There is a little bit of chromatic aberration up close at high-contrast areas but it doesn’t seem to be an issue without zooming in to your photo. I have not tried the Fuji 56mm but this one is 1/3 the price and certainly good enough for me.
