9/23/2022 -I purchased this dog house in the large size, as I have a female Great Pyrenees. The instructions were fairly simple to follow. No words on the assembly instructions, only pictures, with the exception of the materials list and quantity. The hardware comes with one extra of all the screws and little black screw covers. The walls are more on the flimsy side, I had to have a second person hold things together as I assembled them. Some of the screw holes didn't line up well and the roof was a little wonky until I screwed it all together. The stakes that are supposed to secure the house to the ground are short. I placed it on my porch so I didn't need the ground anchors. It doesn't come with a detachable door so it needs to be purchased separately. It's large enough for my GP to stand up in it and move around. The walls could be a little thicker, so it could be a little more stout, other than that, it's serving its purpose in housing my dog. I've had it for several weeks so we'll see how it stands up to my large dog. 10/27/2022 - I've had the doghouse for a few days longer than a month. The house itself is holding up but the door is junk. It wouldn't even hold up to my dog. I'm having to use a ratcheting tie down to secure the door closed. I'm not sure if the pins on the door aren't long enough so it isn't going into the holes far enough or if the holes are too weak to hold the door closed... so I guess my review isn't so much the house but the door that isn't quality. The plastic walls of this thing are a little light and flimsy, making the thing a possible plastic tumble weed. So if using outside more than the two little plastic steaks are recommended. But overall it serves its purpose. My main concern was that the hardware provided vs what was stated in the manual was not the same. Had enough to put it together correctly so all is well, just didn’t have all the “extra” pieces that the instructions stated would be there, and had some extras not indicated. ... show more

We purchased the dog house and also the door separately to use the dog house as a crate when needed. We are happy with the look and quality if the dog house and do recommend it! However, we were not satisfied with the quality of the door due to the quick development of rust. The door is also not easy to affix to the house but is easy to get off which poses a problem. I like this house/crate. Looks cute and my dog loves to sleep in it. While putting it together several of the holes did not line up. It was easy to drill new holes and went together great. You will definitely need to glue on the screw covers if you want to use them cause they come off easily. I do really like the house but I am very disappointed in the door. My beagle puppy can open the door in less than 5 minutes from the inside. The springs are not strong enough and there is no reinforcements at the top and bottom so he pulls it into the house and gets out. I had originally purchased this to crate train him while he is home alone. I can not do that due to the door basically being for show, now it is just an expensive but cute dog bed. Very cute. I’m using this for my ducks. It was not bad to putting together (I did curse a couple times ). I’m happy with it BUT THEY NEVER SENT THE DOOR!!!! I see other people had that problem too but I realllyyy need it bc this is for my ducks and keeping them safe at night. Hopefully I can reach someone about it. ... show more

I bought this item because I was about to add geese to my hobby farm. It is a great size, easy to put together and cleans nicely. I really like the built in door. I need the door to predator proof at night but it is easily removed during the day. This comes with plastic tabs to cover the screw heads. If you are going to have this together on a permanent basis, I would suggest a little glue in those because they come off easily. ... show more
