Turning the dial to adjust height rather than changing out guards seems like a dream. Unfortunately, it just doesn't cut that well and find myself having run it over areas multiple times. It's better for trimming body hair than facial hair in my opinion, but either way not perfect and definitely not a precision instrument. A very nifty idea but less so in practice.

This trimmers unique design is what caught my attention and made me want to read more about the product. What’s unique about the product is the way the included combs fit the trimmer as well as how the combs length gets adjusted height wise. The trimmer has a dial on it to adjust the trimming length making it Easy to control the cutting length you’re looking for. The comb simply slides right in to the cutout area on the trimmer and holds in place without any issue. There’s no digital screens to worry with going out which I actually like that aspect. You receive the trimmer, two adjustable combs, charging cord, small bottle of oil, comprehensive instruction booklet, cleaning brush, and a nice storage/travel bag to hold everything. The blades on this trimmer are stainless steel which I Totally Prefer over the ceramic ones. I just don’t like the way the ceramic ones perform as I find their not nearly as sharp as the stainless steel ones. Also, it’s hard to find those ceramic heads if you need to replace one once it gets dull. Charging this trimmer is straight forward, but you will need to provide your own power brick. I used the power brick from my iPhone and it worked just fine. If you need an extra power brick(USB style)this platform has plenty to browse through and they’re not expensive at all. My trimmer charged to full fast with no issues at all. I found this trimmer cuts really well and is def plenty sharp enough. At no time did I get any hair pulling or cuts on my skin. I’ve had other brand new trimmers that arrived having dull blades that would pull my hair, highly annoying! *****TIP*****Its Easier to Install/Remove the Comb you’re wanting to use if you’ll Turn the Dial to 10! *****In case you Forget how to Install/Remove a Comb, my Last Included Shows where to slide it into the trimmer! I Totally Recommend this well made trimmer! At the time of writing this review, it shows a 10% price drop of the listing. It also shows a 50% OFF coupon as well. All you have to do is tap the coupon on your screen and it will be applied at checkout. In my opinion, this trimmer was well worth the initial price point as I find it works really well for my own needs. It’s unique having a different comb adjustment method that I’ve never seen on any other trimmers I’ve purchased. The trimmer fit well in my hand with no worries dropping while in use. The trimmer would make a good gift to anyone looking for an easy way to trim their facial hair. One thing I didn’t mention above, is the fact the trimmer I received has plenty of power with zero lag while in use, big plus! Please View my Included pictures. The strengths of the Vikicon men's beard trimmer is that it is rechargeable and small enough to take when traveling. When you first get it, you'll need to charge it for about two hours. The trimmer can easily be adjusted by during the dial on the handle to handle the length of your beard at different points. It is sharp and readily cuts. It comes with two combs to handle up to 40 different lengths, oil to keep the blades in good shape, and a brush to clean it, a charger for the battery, and a carry bag. I found just rinsing the head under the sink was enough cleaned it sufficient after use, but you'll probably need the brush several times while you are using it to trim. My only concern was that the built in hair catcher didn't seem to catch anything, and the cuttings would pile up quickly under the comb. After 10 seconds I gave up on the hair catcher doing anything and got out my trimming apron to catch the beard hairs. I also found that I had to frequently take the comb off to clean out the razor so as to continue trimming my beard. Several of the photos show how quickly the razor can get jammed up with beard hair. The shape of the Vikicom razor head made it difficult to get precise cuts, so I had to supplement my session with the little electric shaver that I have. In conclusion, I would probably use the Vikicom razor for general length trimming, using my beard apron to catch the hairs, and finish the job with the little trim razor.

I've been using and enjoying this. I might be missing an obvious example, but I think the beard trimming guide that is easily adjustable and fine tunable (great for fades) is a really cool, unique, usable feature. The shaver is pretty average. It cuts, but not as well as some. Hair seems to get caught between the guide and razor when you take off a decent amount. Ultimately, the really poor battery life and lower plastic quality holds this back, and makes me question the longevity of this. The battery life would have been acceptable 20 years ago, but it feels very annoying and restricting today. Unfortunately, this seems to be an example of a neat design that is held back by manufacturing cost cuts.
