When my daughters were small, going over to Grandma's was fun because of the blocks in the closet. They would pull the bag out and play with them together, despite the difference in their ages. When I saw these blocks, I remembered that and ordered them. On the most recent visit, my two granddaughters (cousins) loved the variety of shapes and colors and did play with them for a little while, with the 9-year-old showing the toddler how to stack them. Mission accomplished! I thought. Unfortunately, it didn't last long, because the blocks' surfaces aren't conducive to stacking and building. They are too slick and one block will not stay on top of another. The main attraction for the toddler is walking around with the (included) bag and picking up the blocks and putting them in the bag. While that is a task that I wish their mothers had learned at that age, I'm disappointed that the girls can't have a good experience stacking and building with the blocks.
