  • Cable Box Wall Mount Bracket
I needed something to hold my cable box under my wall mounted flat panel tv in the kitchen, and that's exactly what it does! The good: The reason I chose this bracket over the others is because the"arms" are adjustable... you can adjust the width and depth, so it will accomodate a small cable box or a larger blue ray / DVD player perfectly. Added safety...came with a velcro strap so that you can secure your device to the bracket. Great quality, arms are made of metal not plastic... solid feel. The bad: While I found it simple to install, BUT...directions were not user friendly. Fully read and understand what you need to do before attempting to install. It came with plastic wall anchors, which are garbage. First attempt, the anchor fell into the wall when I started to install screw... I suggest you use metal wall anchors if you are not anchoring it into a stud. BEWARE... Once you have attached bracket to wall there is a plastic piece that slides over the back to hide the screws. I had to place the bracket lower than I wanted to accomodate this as the tv bracket was right above this bracket and would not allow for me to slide the cover on. Bottom Line.... Great value, I would purchase again. Would have gotten 5 stars if not for the installation issues... follow my advice about the installation and you will not be disappointed! ... show more

  • Great Shelving, But No True Wire Concealment
I swear by these. I bought three, I plan on buying at least two more sets. You can’t go wrong with the value. They are perfect, BUT with a glaring flaw: They do not conceal wires. THEY DO NOT CONCEAL WIRES!! That being said, they work exactly how you need them to work. They include everything you need for a good mount. Bolts, anchors, screws, etc., and the shelves and brackets are designed to accommodate 20 lbs. each. If studs are not an option for you, toggle bolts work perfectly, just make sure you use washers. I solved the wire concealment issue by drilling a 1” hole into the plastic covers, near the base of the shelf. Use a hole saw, and drill slowly - SLOWLY!!! That way you can feed your wires (HDMI, power, etc.) through for true wire concealment. Worked out beautifully! Perhaps the manufacturer will consider designing the covers with 1” diameter “punch outs”. That would solve the issue, and then these would be perfect! I highly recommend this item. Read the directions carefully, and you’ll be fine and impressed. ... show more

  • Suprisingly Strong
I bought this along with a medium flat screen TV wallmount. It compliments most TV's and mount style. Installation was easy but there are about 10 pieces to fit together. What suprised me was it has the same lag bolts as the TV mount. The instructions say to use 4 of thses bolts, but I used 3 instead. Once I put the wall bracket into a single stud I could tell even with 3 lag bolts the mount could support about 40lbs. The trays fit nicely and are movable on the track. Each tray screws down to a brace so your game system or blue ray isn't goint to tip over. The trays are a little under sized for an Xbox or Playstation but could make them work. Only negative is the edge of the metal trays are thin and could cut you if fell into them. The mount also has a hollow cable guide to keep your cables in the back. ... show more

  • Not well thought out, and really only good for smaller electronics
Initially I thought this would work perfectly after actually installing it on the wall I was less then impressed. I have an older LCD monitor which is a little heavier but not that heavy, the shelf held it but it did bend a little and I wasn't confident that it could hold the monitor long term. Second, I put an NVR on the shelf and it quickly becomes apparent that based on the configuration there just isn't enough room on the shelf, once you connect any cables the lack of space is apparent as the cables are to close to the wall and in order to plug in the cables you have to move the device further out away from the wall, which makes the shelve usable space a lot narrower. The shelves also are very slick so make sure you have something to put on them to ensure your device doesn't slide off. ... show more

  • Do not install with alien tape !
Not difficult to assemble and install ... there is no way this thing could magically fall off the wall and I would go as far to say ... stuff may fall off it in a violent earth quake but this shelf bracket will still be attached to the wall .... including a complete collapse of the entire building !

  • Decent shelf
Overall I think the shelving unit is good and durable but it should be larger. This unit is barely big enough to hold my cable box. The front feet of the cable box only sit about 2/3 the way on the shelf and the cable box hangs over a little bit in the front.

  • Awesome Component Shelf, Awesome Price!
I'm beyond happy with this purchase! The shelf is sturdy, manages the cords and cables from our devices (behind the plastic covers), and it really doesn't stand out too much once it has everything loaded on to it. The price simply cannot be beat. If you were to purchase a similar product at Best Buy or another electronics retailer, you would easily spend double or triple the price, maybe more. I paired this item with the VideoSecu ML531BE TV Wall Mount (a fully dynamic wall mount) also purchased from Amazon. They go great together. If you're looking for a reliable, affordable component shelf, you've found it here! Installation tip: Ensure you have a reliable stud finder, and mark your drill bit with a pencil or a piece of electrical tape so you know how far to drill your pilot hole into the stud...drilling too far could cause instability, drilling too short makes mounting the wall plates difficult to impossible. I used a ratchet with corresponding socket to tighten the bolts when mounting. ... show more
