I took the family on vacation this month through Oregon and California and used the Vidalido tent for hiking and camping. It was great and I was really impressed! The set up was simple – it took me and my son about 15 minutes from start to finish. The instructions were clear and simple to follow. I thought the design was awesome- lots of room for the kids and adults. The extended vestibule section really helped to provide extra space for storing some gear that we brought along. We also made everyone store their shoes in the extra space to keep the dirt out. I was impressed with how well the tent protected us during the rain and some windy days. The tent’s waterproof coating and rainfly kept us dry during several bouts of light rain. I didn’t see any condensation, which has been a problem in the past while using other tents. I thought the fiberglass poles were strong and sturdy- much more so than the thin flimsy ones that I used before. I also like the mesh and airflow which kept the bugs and insects out yet provided a nice airflow. The tent looks amazing, and the inside hook was great to have to hang a small light-nice design! As for the price, I thought it was a bargain considering the overall great functionality, height, quality, extra space, and comfort. It is exactly what I was looking for and perfectly designed for using for the next couple of years or more.

TLDR: Passed waterproof test, very roomy, can stand up inside tent, better design because of rigid poles for walls, easy to set-up, sturdy, awning is a fantastic feature for sitting under in camp chairs. This is my new favorite tent for family camping. It is so roomy for our family of three. The design makes it easy to set-up and makes it so roomy. Instead of typical flexible poles on tents, it uses rigid poles for the walls and flexible poles for the roof. This makes it more sturdy and able to have more vertical walls giving you more room. I set this up in my backyard for about 4 days. There was light rain two separate days and one heavy rain that lasted about 30 minutes. It passed the waterproof test with no problem. It was really hot outside in the 80's and low 90's. I thought the tent would be way too hot because it is not fully mesh, but with all the windows open it was pretty good. Nights were in the 70s and it was perfectly comfortable for sleeping. My favorite feature is the tarp awning. It is so relaxing to sit in camp chairs under the awning, giving you a nice shady spot to stay cool in camp. The awning takes this tent to a new level of awesome. On rainy days you can still be outside and on sunny days you have shade. It packs up small and weight is not really a concern because this is not for backpacking. It functions great for car camping or even canoe camping. The zippers are also good quality, and they slide with no hang-ups. Overall this is my go-to tent for family camping.

Great size It does get hot but the top cover does well repelling heat. Great entry access x 2 Front shade sticks extremely weak and useless unless tied down which requires more perimeter space. (Could be hazardous at night) Great Height interior, I'm 5'8 and almost stood up completely. Any inflatable mattress size fits. Fits - 2 queen mattress - 1 Full mattress - 1 Queen Mattress (Not at the same time) All with extra storage space Build time, (6 minutes) with experience. Building instructions are terrible 1/10 (useless)

We picked up this tent with the idea of doing a backyard dry run before taking our son on his first real camping trip, and I’m honestly impressed with the overall build and design. At nearly 12 feet long and over 6 feet tall in the center, it’s spacious enough for two adults and a child with gear, leaving headroom to stand and move comfortably. Setup took about 15–20 minutes solo, thanks to the color-coded poles and straightforward instructions — no weird sleeve threading or wrestling fiberglass into place. The fabric feels thick and durable, with solid seams and a PU coating that beaded water during a light hose test. Ventilation is excellent due to the large mesh windows and ceiling, but the rainfly provides good coverage while still allowing airflow. One thoughtful feature is the extended awning flap over the entrance, which gives a bit of sun or rain protection as you enter or exit. Zippers glide smoothly, and there are multiple gear hooks and pockets inside to help keep things tidy. It packs down into the included bag fairly easily, although it's not ultralight — more of a car camping tent than something you'd want to hike with. For families looking to get outside or introduce kids to sleeping under the stars, this hits a great balance of comfort, weather protection, and usability.

Not 1 person, solo set up friendly. The "awning" stakes and rain fly, only is effective with zero wind and a completly level surface. I do not recommend for any weekend get-aways for the price.
