These do need a 7 inch player mat for best sound quality. They don't come with one pretty, great sound with the mat. So glad I can get back into some classic vinyl. Great cheap step back into the best music of the 60's and 70's!

The media could not be loaded. i was in the search for a record player for a while, and this one was the most inexpensive victrola i could find, even i happen to dislike the design a bit. the record player is slick, set up nicely, has a sleek design. i spun some vinyl and i noticed the sound wasnโ€™t the best. it was a little staticky, and sounded like water spitting from speakers almost. so i will need to find the appropriate speaker model for this record player. otherwise, nice, and worth it. ... show more

Pros: Great for beginners like me Easy to use and very portable A price practically anyone can afford Great color choices Cons: cheap feeling plastics on the inside Built in speakers suck You need to hookup speakers to get good sound The Bluetooth is pretty much pointless because i cant use it with a Bluetooth speaker and the record wont spin in Bluetooth mode anyways With all that being said the cheap plastics can be expected at this price point so Iโ€™ll let that pass but I donโ€™t get the point if having a Bluetooth mode if you cant play the music through a Bluetooth speaker plus the record only spins when its in phono mode so even if you could pair it to a speaker it would be pointless anyways, that being the main reason i only gave it 4 stars. But for the price this is an amazing record player. I bought a mini amplifier and i used some old bookshelf speakers that i had and I hooked them up to the record player and it sounds great and is the perfect little setup (as seen in the attached picture) ... show more

My husband and I inherited a huge box of vinyl records but had no way to play them. Ordered this Victrola and couldn't be happier!! I was eagerly awaiting delivery and had this bad boy unboxed, and opened playing records in under 10 minutes! The packaging was done with care to protect the player during shipping. The instructions were super easy to read and understand. I literally have had it in my possession for less than 30 minutes so I have yet to try out any of the other features like bluetooth connectivity, but honestly i don't plan on using it for that. So, if you are looking for a great portable record player with easy operating instructions this is the one for you! I love it!!
