One very cool record player! Sure, it looks relatively the same as others of the same size and style on the market, and really i guess it pretty much is. But there's just something very cool about the touch of this color in particular. Very soft edgy look, warm with a vintage wear, bold but reserved. It fits the look I was going for like a nail on the head! I had ordered this record player as a gift for my 14 year old nephew who is all about vinyl records these days. He LOVED it! And i did too! i have one similar but honestly when i had seen this one for him, i was tempted to buy a second for myself and replace my solid black one! He pulled it out of the box right away and plugged it in and threw on a new record he had just received. Straight out of the box the sounds was great. It was not wobbly, it was scratchy, it didn't skip or hang up anywhere. It was an instant Christmas present winner!! Sure some other fancier machines with external speakers and all the bells and whistles probably could elevate the sound and yada yada yada but when you're not a professional and just looking to appreciate good music with a good sound quality at an affordable price, this absolutely gets the job done! The functions to play multiple sizes of records along as the Bluetooth connect-ability make this an all around win-win. Victrola has been around for some time so I'm not surprised they're still cranking out quality products. Listen, I've done the research. I know these cheap players 'damage your records faster', etc. But I think this is well worth it. Honestly, from the way YouTube reviewers described these players, I was worried my records would sound terrible. But they sound great. Keep in mind, I'm new to vinyl. But playing a new record, the sound was extremely clean and sounded like I just played a song from Spotify. My dad gave me all his old records, and some of them are gross and mucky. And after cleaning them, they still sound pretty good. All old records will have some crackling fuzz when you play them. That's the beauty of vinyl. I also think this particular model is just really nice. Maybe I got lucky, and my player just works really well, but I tried out my friends Victrola player too, and It's kind of terrible. I think it was a cheaper one, to be fair. But the difference was astounding. I highly recommend this player. It works well, and it's pretty too. Great for the price. ... show more

I went to a few box stores looking for a record player to get my sister. I had one in my cart and decided to check Amazon before buying it. I found same exact record player 25% cheaper and it was shipped to my house 3 hours later . We played a few records and I was surprised how easy it was to set up and the sound was really good.
