I ended up buying a record platter (not sure of the correct terminology) to help with the sound because I had read about the sound not being clear or the needle needing some weight on it. Anyway, the platter does help. It looks nice and I like that I can take it to my grandmas house to listen to some records from her days. If you’re looking for something simple and don’t need the sound to be heard from a mile away, this is a great buy. It helps to have the platter thing for a more crisp sound. I recently came into possession of my late grandmother’s 78rpm 10” shellac records from 1930-1960. I didn’t have a record player and didn’t want to spend a fortune on one, not did I want something that would need to take up space. This thing is perfect. i got it as a christmas gift for my bf. i think it's great. the size and look is perfect for any location and setting. it's not too heavy either. the sound quality is pretty decent for the price so can't complain there, loud enough to fill a large/ couple of rooms. very easy to use and learn coming from someone with no prior use or knowledge. the quality makes it look way more expensive than it really is and i think it has a timeless look. definitely recommend. ... show more

I hooked this directly into my stereo for optimal sound. By itself its adequate sound but I wanted the EQ and whole house projection. Good value for a basic player though. Works great for bringing a second life to my late mother's record collection.

We love this! We Bluetooth it to our Bose speaker and the sound is excellent. It connects very easily to a Bluetooth device. It folds up into a suitcase making it very easy to move around. It’s great quality and works very well. I highly recommend.
