Description

Victor 10 lb snake Repelling Granules offer a powerful solution to keep snakes away from house areas where they are not wanted. This long-lasting, snake repellent effectively deters garter snakes, rattlesnakes, and other species using its unique formula. Apply this snake deterrent for outside by spreading the granules around the perimeter of the area you want to protect. Snake-a-way works as a rattlesnake repellent by confusing the snake's jacobson’s organ, making it slither away in search of fresh air. Wearing gloves, apply the granules in bands 4-5" wide to repel garter snakes, and 8-12" wide to repel rattlers. For yard application, sprinkle Snake-a-way throughout the area within the perimeter. Reapply when the odor becomes faint. This product contains naphthalene (7%) and sulfur (28%) as its active ingredients.

My husband used this around the boarder of our home bc we have snakes everywhere...the smell is SO strong! I actually watched the snakes run away and leave which was funny! The Problem is my husband sprinkled it in the backside of my vegetable garden which is also up against the house... he read its was ok for Plants...but it doesn't mean vegetable plants!!!!...So I went out carefully trying to remove the product from my veggie garden which is insanely hard to do bc its so small...now Im panicking that my tons vegetables have been poisoned. bc I am not sure how it can seep into my soil and mulch and effect the growth and quality to eat them...the yellow circle is where he put a line of it and the red is where all my veggies are...if anyone else used this in the veggie garden and didn't have issues please reach out to me bc I'm heartsick over this. I removed as much as I could but I know it was impossible to get all. I heard white Vinegar can weaken the chemicals and also the snakes hate it so I might go out and spray that.... ... show more

Have used this for two years. Haven't seen any snakes or skinks at my door or on my patio (small lizards & insects are unbothered by it). Very strong scent. Be sure to keep pet paws away from it.

One snake bite can cost $100,000 in emergency treatment. Buying 4 of these a year on a subscription is far cheaper than the risk. Works to drive off snakes. I have not seen a copperhead in 2 years since putting it down on a schedule every 3 months.

Product may work, I don't know for sure but it doesn't last long. The smell was totally gone in less than a week with no rainfall. Also, the container and ad states this will cover 3 acres and that is absolutely false. I doubt I will be buying this again.

Snake away is my "go to" when it comes to keeping snakes away from the house and family. I live in the wooded areas of Georgia, and snakes are plentiful around my house. While I do not have an infestation of snakes, I certainly have numerous encounters with the slithering friends and it causes some uneasiness with my wife and kids. I spread the snake away on the outer edges of my yard and then reapply a few weeks later and snakes disappear for about a year. Easy application and seems to hold up really well against South Georgia rainstorms that happen regularly.
