I wanted a really lifelike tree but I didn't want a gargantuan monster that takes half a day and a degree in engineering to put together. Enter the Vickerman Ashland Christmas tree! This little beauty is extremely life like and comes complete with twigs and pine cones which really add to its lifelike appearance. The needles and branches are also extremely lifelike and realistic. I will have to say, however; that this tree comes in a VERY small, tightly packed box. As another commenter said, be prepared to handle each and every single branch as you unbend and fluff out the tree for the first time. Unless you're a sadomasochist, you won't try to put this tree back in the original box at the end of the season. I highly recommend a bag! The tree is a breeze to assemble. There are only two parts: The main trunk (which also looks real) and the pointed top piece which easily slides into the main trunk. This tree looks gorgeous once decorated and hardly takes up any space in a small room while still dominating the room with its realistic and festive presence. Four strands of 100 ct lights will fully pack this tree if you like a lot of lights as I do but two strands should work fine for those who have more subtle tastes. This tree is EXACTLY as pictured and just what I was looking for. I wanted a more rustic, realistic tree that didn't take up a ton of space and I hit the jackpot. Very little assembly is required and it is worth the time to fluff it up...took me about an hour to get it exactly as I wanted it. The pine cones are an awesome touch, as well, and the exposed wood further enhances its realistic look. Since it is lightweight, I did find I needed to stabilize it at the base of the trunk. I read in a review where someone used bricks. What I found to be most helpful were two of my 10-pound flat weights from my barbell. Totally unnoticeable when the tree skirt is in place. The branches are a delightful mixture of pine and fir, and I found that lighter weight ornaments work best. As far as lights, this tree is not pre-lit, but I wanted it that way. What worked for me were 4 strands of 100 lights each, plus one strand of 50, for total of 450 lights. I even found a lightweight rustic star made of grape vines for the top. I also have to give a shout out to the seller, eLightBulbs for their excellent customer service and extremely prompt shipping. I received the tree early! It looks like a real tree. It’s a little hard to put together but sits only three pieces and a base. The two bottom ones had to be hammered together because the hole wasn’t wide enough. The top piece just kind of spins around and wobbblws, but it seemed like the metal pole holding it together was long enough to not fall out of the section below it at least. I got this on sale at about one hun dred total, if it was more than that, it wouldn’t be a good value. The branches might not hold real heavy ornaments but i didn’t test it because we only have plastic ones. Overall, it’s pretty good. It looks real, went back into the box it came from for storage, and served it’s purpose. ... show more

This is the worst tree I have ever bought. It’s very stiff and you can’t move the branches around. every time I pick it up the sections fall apart. The pinecones are falling off. There’s some in the box from where they fell off. And some of the twigs are in the box and on the floor where they have fallen off. In the garbage she goes. ... show more

It came earlier than expected. We put it together early to make sure everything is good to go and it looks fantastic...completely real. I've never seen an artificial tree that looks real until now. We're gonna wait to decorate it, but we're not disassembling it. It just looks too good and we're enjoying looking at it too much to take it down until the holidays. The randomness, the naturalness, richness, and the lushness of tree is amazing. Even the center is realistic to the point we purposely left it showing through in places. For the price it’s pretty good. Assembly wasn’t as bad as some other reviews but quite a few branches came off during. Only 3 stars bc it’s so wobbly I’ll have to put weights on the base to keep it from tipping over. For a small downtown apartment it’s a great size. Looks surprisingly real.

Beautiful!!! It did take a little effort to assemble the middle portion of the tree, but it fit perfectly. It was not as hard to put together as most of the reviews suggested. It fluid require a little TLC to “fluff” up the tree, but I am really happy with the end result.
