It looks like a real tree. It’s a little hard to put together but sits only three pieces and a base. The two bottom ones had to be hammered together because the hole wasn’t wide enough. The top piece just kind of spins around and wobbblws, but it seemed like the metal pole holding it together was long enough to not fall out of the section below it at least. I got this on sale at about one hun dred total, if it was more than that, it wouldn’t be a good value. The branches might not hold real heavy ornaments but i didn’t test it because we only have plastic ones. Overall, it’s pretty good. Pros: 1) LOOKS REAL. Even the branches gave me a few cuts while assembling, so this thing is pretty realistic. We bought some pine scented sticks and just hide them on the tree. It really does the trick. I was half expecting a live squirrel to come with it. 2) Prelit saves a ton of time and energy in wrapping it in lights. All the lights worked fine, no issues so far and we’ve had it up and on a timer since after Thanksgiving. 3) Narrow. So if that’s what you’re looking for, this is it. But also has lots of branches to use to hang ornaments. 4) Base can be hidden or put inside something- we used a garden pot with a cardboard box inside of it and hid it all under shredded paper that looks like snow and grass. 5) Not super tall, so if you have low ceilings, then this will be just fine. 6) Easy to assemble. Just wear gloves. The real branches give you real cuts. There may have been a tiny bit of swearing. But the branches are easy enough to bend as needed to open it up into full tree-mode. 7) No-pine needles. Okay maybe a few loose ones here and there upon assembly. But after that, nothing. Nada. You don’t need to remember to water it. You don’t need to worry about it getting brittle. You don’t need to worry about stepping on errant pine needles in July. CONS: 1) Wobbly. The top part fits into the base of the middle stem but it’s still as wobbly as baby Jesus learning how to walk. Or maybe Jesus didn’t wobble at all. I don’t know. But I do know this top piece wobbles at any movement on the tree. I maybe shove a piece of florist foam into the hole next year to secure the top piece, but for now, we just stay clear of it so nothing touches it. The part doesn’t fall off, but if you don’t set it just right, it will just list off to the side slightly, much like that one uncle at your Christmas party who had too much eggnog. The picture I have shows it before I straightened it up again. 2) The box it came in is tiny. So you’ll need to buy another storage box if you want to keep your sanity after the holidays when putting this away. 3) Not sure if it can take heavy ornaments. Almost all our ornaments are fabric and very lightweight, so works fine for us. But if you have heavy glass ornaments, this may not be the tree for you. ... show more

As others had experienced, the tree did not go together easily. We had to wear away part of the wood more to get the metal pole to insert completely. It did shed a decent amount of needles and the little twigs do break easily. It didnt look like much at first and we were uncertain if the branches would be sturdy enough for some of our heavier blown glass ornaments, but once on and the flexible bits adjusted, it seems to be doing well. It is a little shorter than I expected and feels a little punier than I had ideally wanted, but I boosted it up by placing it on a riser (square plastic storage box) inside of a large wicker basket and now I am very pleased with the effect. The overall effect is what I was looking for and I do not regret the purchase. Appreciate others reviews that lined out some of their challenges so I wasn't surprised to encounter them myself. I purposely chose an unlit tree as my last tree purchase was lit and the lights going out was the death of it and drive me nuts trying to troubleshoot and fix. Now we can choose different light types based on our preferences and if a strand goes out we can easily replace it. ... show more

Ordered this tree: Normally I would get a 9ft real fraiser fur. But I needed something for a unique space (thin), so I decided to try an artificial tree for this years executive christmas party. It came in 4 pieces: base and three 'tree' parts. The top piece had no hole- so I needed to drill it myself- im a DIY'r so no issue there. Here is what I added: 2 strings of lights, 1 spool of ribbon, ornaments. I am very pleased with this tree, the branches even hold my enormous decorative ornaments (which is no easy task). I like that it can put to together quickly and now only need a fraction of decorative items as before. I was even able to bend branches to make it even narrower (pencil tree) to fit in the corner. I saw someone say 'the twigs are ugly'.... this is an elevated design. White trash may not like the pine cones and twigs, but the rest of us love them. I gave it one less star because it says 'light included' and on other area of the description it does not list 'lights' (consistency is key), I had to drill my own hole in the top piece and it is a bit wobbly.... make sure you dont have a 'tree climbing cat'. ... show more
