This set of Vice clubs was delivered on June 27. They were purchased for our grandson who is visiting this summer. He arrived on July 14 and has used this new set of clubs for the past two weeks. He came home from golf yesterday with the heads of his driver and 3 wood broken (see photos). We’re past the Amazon return date of July 26 for these newly purchased clubs by a few days - these clubs have only been used for a couple of weeks! We were unable to start a chat with Vice or access their support website. Help! These clubs are barely used! How do we arrange a refund or replacement clubs?

After only about five weeks and 4 uses of it, the 3-wood developed visible separation where the shaft connects to the clubhead. For an $899 set, I expected better durability. Giving it two stars for now, but I’ll update my review if Vice support makes it right. I have emailed asking for a warranty claim so we will see.

I have a lot of thoughts about this set. Overall it's a great set for a beginner or slightly past beginner golfer. It's by no means perfect, but my qualms with it don't rise to the level of deducting a full star. My honest rating for this set is probably 4.5 out of 5. The Bag: The included stand bag is pretty solid quality. Materials seem to be high quality, and it's made well. I didn't notice any issues with seams or anything like that. It's not a fancy bag with 14-way dividers or 11-13 separate pockets, but it gets the job done for the majority of people. The black and neon green/yellow color scheme is going to be a very personal choice - either you love it or hate it. Personally I'm a fan. The Clubs (Looks): Visually these are some of the best "kit" clubs I've seen. The irons are well made, and the heads look like a modern muscle back blade. Obviously they're very much not, and when you go to use them you'll see the larger head size and thicker top line you typically find with game improvement irons, but the overall visual look of the irons and wedges is top notch. The hybrid, woods and Driver follow suit, though the black clubface in combination with the black crown can make it a little challenging to see clubface placement to your ball at address. I like some contrast between the face and the crown, but again that's a very subjective thing. The putter is a good, typical "fang" style mallet putter. Its' a bit heavier than I'm used to, but that can help keep the head from twisting and moving while you putt. The Clubs (Performance): The irons perform exactly as you'd expect for a set of game improvement irons. The club lofts are right in line with the offerings from big companies in this category, the ball flies pretty well. Performance (for me) with the hybrid, woods and driver were a bit more mixed. These clubs advertise a regular flex in the shafts, but in practice the flex was a lot more "loose" than you typically find for a regular flex shaft. The driver felt like a noodle! Not a problem for someone with a slow swing speed, but since I typically am on the border between regular and stiff flex, it was a struggle for me. The 10.5 degree loft on the driver is probably Ideal for most people that this set would be geared toward. I usually use an 8 degree loft face, so between the extra loft and the soft shaft I was hitting balls a mile high with a LOT of spin! My biggest gripe with the clubs was the grips. I'm not sure if this was just my set or if it's standard, but the grips were all very sticky feeling! It almost had the feeling like when rubber gets too hot and starts melting, but I'm positive that wasn't the issue here. The grips really did not feel good in my hands, and to me if that's how they're supposed to feel it's an instant need to re-grip the clubs before you can enjoy them. Overall I think Vice put together a great beginner+ set here. You can find complete sets for less, so they are asking for a premium here. Is it worth it? I would say mostly yes, because the finish of the clubs, the quality of the bag and all the other little things set it out ahead of other beginner sets. The only caveat being the grips.

This Vice Boost Plus set lands in a really nice middle ground — better than entry‑level quality, but not trying to be a premium tour‑level kit. Everything about it feels intentionally “normal” in the best way: reliable, convenient, and easy to play without overthinking your gear. The appearance is clean and modern, the quality of the clubs is consistent across the set, and the accuracy is perfectly respectable for recreational golfers. It’s especially well‑suited for beginners or returning players who want something dependable without jumping straight into high‑end pricing. The durability seems solid, and at $899.00, the value for money is strong considering you’re getting a complete, cohesive setup with a bag included. A five‑star “grab‑and‑go” set that does exactly what most golfers need.
