These M114 mallets are fantastic. Great upper, mid, and lower response. Pretty good dynamics can be achieved. The maple handles are somewhat strange but feel better than birch or rattan personally. A little too hard for smooth rolls but whatever.

These mallets are great as all around performers, articulate but not too hard on the bass. It might be a little bit soft on the higher register but they deliver... it is an awesome addition to my mallet bag! Highly recommended!
