I like this a lot more than I thought I would. It takes less than a minute to connect the bar pieces, and then you're instantly ready to start working out. I don't have space for large gym equipment, and this is a very suitable replacement. The pamphlet provides some sample exercises and a an e-book and video. But, this is so easy to use, you don't even need a video. Just think of exercises you'd do with a weight bar or dumbbells, but add on the flexibility and capability of additional leg exercises on the floor. I also like that the bar keeps the bands spread out and away from your body, so they don't rub against the skin while exercising. The cost is also so reasonable compared to the new equipment flooding the market...these "home gyms" where you stand on a platform, and pull up on the resistance bands without a bar. Those cost anywhere from $100-$800+, which is insane. Seriously, Google those things. You get the same thing with this pilates bar, except you put your feet in the straps and can easily move wherever you want.

FINALLY!!! A Pilates stick that you can screw and unscrew. I have two others that you have to press some 'buttons' to connect the two parts and disconnect them for portability. I can't do it. It requires a lot of strength and it hurts my fingers to even try to do it. So it doesn't fit into my gym bag because I have to keep it connected at all times. I HATE IT! I saw this on line here at Amazon and couldn't wait to get it. One other thing that is also very important, at least to me. The two bands are attached to the bar at the top so that they do not roll around the bar. This makes is very simple to increase or decrease the tension on the bands. I have had to put double-sided tape on my other bars to prevent the bands from slipping around. I cannot say enough good things about this bar...not to mention the really neat carry case that comes with it that makes it really portable. Nice! Very nice! And the price is just right.

I love it so far! It helps my Pilate workouts more effective and am able to do a wider range of exercises for my legs and arms . Full body workout! Great addition to my exercise equipment and until my Pilate Springboard arrives!

I bought the pilates bar to use while traveling in my RV. The first one I received was defective but I received my replacement the next day. What I like is that is comes apart into 3 pieces and can be stored in the small carrying bag which is great for an RV. What I don't like is the difficulty with increasing the tension of the bands. On other bars you simply roll the bar and the bands roll around the bar. Not so with this one. You have to physically wrap each band around the bar with your hands toward it then you can continue to roll the bar and the bands will roll onto the bar. However you must keep a lot of tension on the bar or the bands will slide off. This is a pain when I am following an exercise video and have to pause it to wrap the bands around the bar. Otherwise I like this product so far, it gives me a way to workout while traveling.
