I thought the nylon rope would tear, wear, or not keep its strength. Not the case. This winch is currently mounted on a 5x10 utility trailer and I use it to pull a 37 ton Rugged Made log splitter that weighs 1,100 pounds. It bears down when the splitter’s wheels hits the ramp and then pulls it right along. I paired it with a marine battery and used it all season on that battery’s original charge. This product is terrible , it came with no instructions and one of the bars holding it together broke in half and I never got to even use it , would not recommend .

    • Motor clicking and synthetic rope doesn't last.
Purchased to use with my snowplow on my Polaris Ranger 6x6. Immediately started intermittently clicking and not engaging, would have to roll the other way and try again. Fully charged battery, and it has a clean connection. Also the synthetic line didn't last one hour snowplowing. Likely due to the solid fairlead rubbing on a down pull. I'll be replacing both the fairlead and line. Hopefully won't have too much more issues with the clicking/not engaging issue. Giving it 4 stars mostly for the engagement issue that's causing the clicking. For the price it's a complete kit with a wireless remote. ... show more
