I’ve been in the market for a tri-stand for more than a little bit. I purchased a bench type pipe vise years ago from Amazon and it has been more than satisfactory. However, there are those 1 of 4 jobs where there isn’t always a safe enough, sturdy enough place to attach it to. So that’s kept me looking for a tri-stand. Rigid is great. Don’t get me wrong their products are worth every penny but I just haven’t wanted to spend what’s asked for their stands. This is the 1st tri-stand that I’ve seen like this. It’s sturdy, well built and even has a handle to carry it. I don’t think that the Rigid stand has a way to lock the legs in place when it’s in use and when in transit. This one does. So it doesn’t need a chain or bungee to secure the legs when carrying it. Great product! ... show more

Very good product locks in the pipe and holds it down. The adjustable legs is very good when closed that pipe stand could still stand up straight without falling over to the side a plus for that thank you very much for this product but it would be nice if the price was adjusted a little bit lower.

This is a good item for the home handyman, farmer or hobbyist. If i was a professional plumber I would spend the bucks for a Ridged. This one is built a little lighter duty and does not have readily available replacement parts. I usually work with 1/2 and 3/4 inch iron pipe doing a few cuts and threads. This works well for that. Good value priced chain vise. Great for holding pipe or irregularly shaped objects for welding or wrenching on. Okay for threading small pipe. Biggest things you're not getting by going the value priced route (beyond the obvious finish and durability shortcomings): No readily available replacement parts. Less portable -- without being any sturdier (perhaps even a little less sturdy/less stable) this weighs about 20% more, and doesn't have the smooth grab, snap, and fold carry action like the Ridgid does. For occasional use, this is great. If you're in the trade, suck it up and buy the real thing. ... show more

EVERYTHING I have gotten from VEVOR is legitimately as good a quality as the off-brand items you'll find at Harbor Freight! Every single thing is made of good quality materials and it is evident it is going to last a long time. This chain vice is no different. It has pipe bending capabilities but I am using it to lock down my PVC Irrigation pipe as I am using PVC for a hydroponic vertical garden and The most challenging part was keeping the pipes still for me to drill the net cup openings. This thing has turned an irritating job into a breeze! Like I said everything I have gotten from this company has been great quality. I love them so much in fact I purchased a replacement throttle body for my Mercury 60 outboard with Gen 1 cables on the pontoon boat. They stand by their warranty so if you have any issues definitely contact them I have had nothing but good experiences with VEVOR! Next on the list is buying a $1,300 ice machine from them!
