It was promised to me by Feb 14. I am super excited to use it as soon as it arrives! It shows up Feb 9th omg so awesome. Unpacking is simple and just read through the short manual and set it up. After installing handle I turned it on and it's loud but not crazy. I'm using it inside 2 car garage and it was closed. So getting it down that u can go a quarter turn each time u do a pass helped me to not have it not shut down do to safety. I was turning it to low and it was trying to eat through to much wood. I have done a 100 or more passes out the box and it's super sturdy and easy to use. For the money its awesome, easy to use, easy to clean. ... show more

I'm sure there are better planers out there, but for a casual woodworker, this thing is a beast. The only thing is the thickness gauge is not the greatest. I just purchased a different gauge, and it's great now.

    • If you want cheap, go with this “tool”
It broke while leveling some pallet wood. Before it died, was was leave raise grooves on the bottom side of every plank. Then the grinding and failure occurred.

    • Smooth cutting
I ran several pieces of wood through this planner each pass it kept getting better the first pass looked amazing but I wanted to see how smooth it would get without sanding after. This planner left no blade marks like a 2 blade planner I used would recommend

    • Nice unit
Easy set up. Clean cuts. You really need to use vacuum attached to exhaust. Unit will jam farily quickly if you don’t. Definitely a good product for the price.

    • Its cheap.
The only positive is that it's cheap. It worked for the first few cuts but after that, it stopped working. The wood extraction system gets clogged which leads to shavings getting stuck in the blades and the rollers which will cause the boards to jam.

    • Should have lasted longer
Worked great until it didn't. Stopped working just after the warranty ran out. Vevor wasn't much help. Many emails back and forth only to be told to find a local repair shop. The only problem is Vevor doesn't have any repair parts available for purchase.
