My not giving a 5 Star review a reflection of Ryobi or Amazon as they had nothing to do with the hole punched through the side Just not that happy having to order $45 of replacement parts to make perfect looking and operating. As i just noted it works perfectly and could not be happier with it

I'm happy with the purchase. I get more snipe than I expected and have to clean the rollers occasionally but it works. That's the main thing.

Now that the snow has melted away and is a little warmer outside. I brought it out and playing a board with it. It seems to do a very nice job but you definitely need a vacuum. If not, most of the shavings go out the front. I played a short piece of pine board on both sides. It really Smooths it out nicely. ... show more

    • Spend the extra money on a Dewalt.
I typically buy Ryobi due to price. I also have a Dewalt. This tool is so crappy, you are better off not having a planer at all. The Ryobi has super thin blades and deflect very easily so you have to constantly check them as wood chips get stuck underneath and cause the blade to dig deeply into the wood. As with all larger Ryobi purchases, there is no precision. Never again will I buy a Ryobi product bigger than a hand power tool. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Easy setup and ability to use out of the box. I use pallet wood a lot. Nothing too crazy or gigantious I am finding myself planing at this time. Therefore this planer is great for myself for I can plane boards with its feeder super easy. I use the shavings for quail bedding too to fight the smell of the poo!
