First off fantastic unit. Assembling the base took about an hour, the instructions were piss poor for telling what went where. Aside from that I tried it out on a two inch slab of curly maple. It couldn't do a full turn off the handle when attempting to plane. It stalled out and popped the breaker that was built in. Half turn and it seemed happy enough. DeWalts planer can handle a full turn on this kind of wood but costs a lot more. This unit functions does the job is quieter then the DeWalt version and has a dust port that can be hooked up to a shop vac with a fernco adapter from home Depot in the plumbing section. All in all I'm not dissatisfied with the unit. Other major draw back was a 13" peice won't go threw. Gas a cutting board that got stuck in the middle and had to save down the sides just a little bit.

It works , it’s surprisingly easy and adjusts smoothly, the planer itself works well , the dust collection is subpar, maybe it’s me , but I have full dust collection system and we’ll not impressed, and it’s LOUD …. Louder than others I’ve used . The stand is convenient, easy to build … I ordered casters and can roll it around easily, the metal is crap super thin bend easy , bent from weight of itself on caster … but it does do the job …. Value for dollar for sure

It works ok, but you can’t take much of a pass with it in air-dried pine. I bought this for a friend because he had some very clear pine he wanted to use for flooring. It was a long process. Chios didn’t extract well (this really needs to be used with a powered dust collector) and that left chips on the rollers and that affected the surface results with the texture of the chips that rolled through. The poor chip control then makes it feed poorly. Uggh After 2 or 3 twelve-foot boards the planer started tripping it’s breaker. I like to try a lot of cheaper, non-critical tools and am often satisfied even with some compromises but this is a tool I would not purchase again nor would I recommend.

Can't say enough good things about this. Used it for months getting the new shop up and running. Planed all cedar planks for custom trim and it worked great! This thing is amazing! Easy to use and very durable as long as you keep it clean. Take care of it like you should and it will last! Gives a smooth board and accuracy is spot on. Great price!
