This hose reel works great. I looked at a variety of hose reels to mount to the ceiling in my woodshop. Most of them in this price range either only had a 25 or 30 ft cord or were only 14 AWG. This is extremely well made, easy to mount to either wood or concrete and the retraction mechanism works great. The 12 AWG cord is sturdy and the 3 prong receptacle allows you to use multiple tools easily without changing the cord. The lighted end is also a nice touch. I am a huge fan of Vevor products and once again they did not disappoint.

Put it on the ceiling of my garage and it is working great. The cord is just long enough to go whole way around my garage. It was easy to install just locate a stud and crew it to it. I had a similar cord reel from Rockler that was bought in 2016 used in the garage for general use. I recently found out that the Rockler reel has an open ground (huge safety risk) and wanted a suitable replacement. Based on the specifications, my experience with the brand, and the user reviews I settled on this one. It does live up to the claims it makes. I'm not using this in an industrial setting. It probably gets used a couple of times a month, and for that use I have no reservations. There are plenty of reviews describing the features and functionality. I'm going to restrict the review to the following two items that I think are important: 1. It is UL listed. Some comments questioned if that is real and the check is simple (sort of). All you had to do is to see if the UL website actually list this product as tested by them. The trick is that you look it up by manufacturer name. In this case it is "Longkou Dolengi Wire and Cable Co. Ltd." The product model (DL-610) does show up on the UL website. Why UL? It is for me in the US is a minimum requirement to know that the product meets performance targets and most importantly safety. Electrical items can injure, start fires (very bad ones) or even cause death. So this is very important to me. 2. This extension reel is rated for 15A. Not 20A, and would trigger the overdraw protection if you try to pull more than the rated 15A -- which is a good thing. Any power tools like table saws that may need more than 15A at startup will not work with this. It's not a fault. I have tried some Vevor products and have found them to live up to the expectations. These are not heavy duty products, but a very good and affordable option for average person's needs. I hope they will continue to stick to that unlike a similar brand (TackLife) which lost its way some years back. One last thing: everything listed was in the box including the mounting bracket and hardware.

The VEVOR Retractable Extension Cord Reel, 45 FT, Heavy Duty 12AWG/3C SJTOW Power Cord is the perfect addition to my home workshop. It pulls down easily and locks without any issues. It has an adjustable stop that was very important to my application. While I did use the mounts that came with the device I mades some simple adjustments that helped the reel easily mount to my ceiling. The overall size is not an issue at all and I don't even notice it hanging 10' in the air. It seems that this was a good purchase for the money. Do yourself a favor though and spend the money for the 12AWG. Always remember, too much is just right.
