This thing is a cutting devil. I love it. I hardly put any pressure on the arm and it just goes right through the steel I have used: 1/8 and 3/16 mild steel. The cuts are perfect and square and effortless. I wish I had bought this years ago. The only thing I wish is that the arm would lock in the down position for easy carrying (like a chop saw does). But I can live with that because of the performance and the super low price.

This is a fantastic bandsaw! I'm new to metal working, and bought this to help with outfitting and repairing my 4x4 truck for off road. Cutting metal with an angle grinder is 'ok', and I still do it when needed, but the smoke, sparks, and noise are just plain annoying, and can be dangerous. I'm building rock sliders for my truck and I needed to cut 1.75 x .120 wall DOM (round) tubing on 45 degree angles. This saw makes it easy, and cuts very accurately and cleanly in a short amount of time. And it's really quiet compared to other saws. It's lightweight, well made, inexpensive, and easy to set angles and secure the work. The cutting range is impressive for its size. The LED light is very bright and a real bonus! Additionally, it can be detached from the base for portable use.

I would give 5 stars if the manual described how to change the saw belt. Now, this is an EXCELLENT saw, I love it. It is low speed, cut very clean, not super heavy but not portable either too. It is really designed to be used on a table top, how handheld. For the price, I am very happy. Vevor is a good brand; this is my third tool from them. The price is usually reasonable, and the tool is great for DIY. Oh, one more thing, I think this saw is much safer to use then table saw. Great for Grandpa, lol.

1. The person who thought they needed to cut off the handle for the angle adjustment did not realize that its a spring loaded handle that you can just simply pull up and move out of the way after tightening the bolt. 2. It's clearly a simple and inexpensive solution, but it works real well. I only have 2 projects with a lot of aluminum profiles to cut - and this is a HUGE time saver while also being very accurate for the cuts. 3. This is not a portable - battery operated tool 4. it is annoying that the power cord is in the front as well that the saw cuts towards the user (front) It would have been a whole lot better if the cord was in the rear and if it would cut the opposite direction (pressure of the cut away from the user and flush to the back plate. For the money - all is great. It works very effectively for incidental use, where purchasing a more "professional" system would not make sense

I pulled the saw out of the box and installed the blade, which was easy. Then I tried cutting 1/4 steel and it cut it like butter. I purchased a dewalt chop saw for this job but it really didn’t work at all and I even purchased an expensive blade for it but it would not cut it. I cut 4 cuts through 4” x 1/4” steel in probably less than 5 minutes. This saw is a beast! I would definitely recommend it. I don’t know how long it will last but I don’t cut metal often so I’m guessing this will be something I have for a long time. I’m extremely happy with the purchase and the price.

i already wrote a review on this tool, but i'm so satisfied with it, i will write it again. it cuts through steel easily, wished i had bought one years ago. it works on longer items, but not smaller ones, as it needs room for clamping piece down and a little to more to reach the blade. it can be removed from stand which gives it greater advantage and cutting ability

Ok, the product is good and looks sturdy and well made....and have a good price....BUT.... the mine arrive with a defective alineation between the saw and the press that hold the material to cut....so this make that the cut wasn't square.... I mean in the 0 (degrees position) I get a cut with about 5 degrees of inclination over the square cut ....this is a LOT of mistake in the cut.... the unique reason because I do not return the saw is because I live in ECUADOR and I import the saw to my country by courier so I already paid almost $100 for the transport and customs to my country ...and send it again to USA will cost about $150 more and bring back again if they send another will be $100 more.... and the tool cost $158 so.... I had to disassemble the saw and with a round file and a drill I extended the ranure were the base that hold the saw move... so with about 7 or 8mm more in the ranure the indicator past the 0 degrees mark for about 7mm and then the saw is already square with the object to cut.... this was not so dificult (took me about 45min) for me and I can imagine that almost the 80% of the kind of person that bought this tool can do this fix without many problems...but is a DEFECTIVE machine (at least the one that arrived to me) and that is why I put only 1 star in the review because without the fix the machine make inaccurate cuts that do not work for weld or anything..... by the way in the 45degrees mark the cut is not 45 so I have to make a mark in the scale that is printed in the machine for the position that the saw is 45 degrees in relation with the material to cut (is about the same desviation that the 0 degrees position..... 6 or 7mm )..... by the way I tried to contact vevor in the website but I was not successfull.... this is my honest opinion of the machine I hope work for anybody .... I already make some works cutting metal with the modification and by now is working well.....
