  • It’s random…
Size: 12x15 Inch
I ordered a blue 15x12 8 in 1. It came to me as a red 15x11.5... If you have to have instructions on how to build things, this isn’t for you. It doesn’t come with the little wrench and screw driver. It does not lift up and swing away it just swings away. Make sure you have plenty of spec to swing otherwise you will find yourself struggling to put your shirt or whatever on these mats… Still trying to figure out the little power box. Tried a test press, and the shirt looks AMAZING (1 layer). The adjusting screw is horrible and doesn’t spin right. Came with busted foam like someone was angry when they packed it. Haven’t tried the accessories yet. ... show more

  • Good for the price
Size: 15*15inch 8in1
The heating element is good, but the timer doesn’t work at all, you can set it, but it won’t count down

  • It is a good exception to the Cricut brand
Size: 15*15in 5in1
I liked that it was just as described and easy to use. Cons: The cup/mug connector does not fit regular 8 ox mugs. The mugs are wider than the locking mechanism on the cup connector. You have to hold this closed the entire time you are transferring. Also, It doesn't heat up enough to transfer the ink properly. I used this on a test cup and could never get the ink to transfer all the way. It was extremely faded and there were areas on the coup that did not transfer at all. I tried several different patterns of the Cricut infusible ink paper on different parts of the cup. I let it go as long as 30 minutes without disturbing it. That 30 minutes did seem to transfer darker, but saying that, red came out a variation of whitish pink. Black came out sort of brown. I have not yet tried the hat connector. I am almost certain I will have better luck with it than with the mug connector because you can apply pressure to the hat. The Heat Press does work relatively well. I got this because it was the entire set in one box, unlike Cricut which makes you purchase everything separately, making this a very expensive hobby! The cost of this unit makes it more affordable! I will see if there is anything I can use different to make that cup connector work better. ... show more

  • What’s perfect is perfect
Size: 15*15inch 8in1
I purchased this because the heat press could not meet my needs. I found it very curious if this would work and it’s been a life saver. I love that I can turn the heat panel to side to place my shirt and pull out the tray. The only negative would be having something that would stop it from coming off the track. Otherwise it is a great buy. It heats up quickly and beeps to let you know it’s ready. ... show more

  • Solidly built, but temperature control is really wonky
Size: 15*15inch 2in1
The price (purchased when it was $85) and physical build quality are positive characteristics. The problem arises with the temperature control. The temperature can rise 15-20 degrees above the set point before coasting back down. As an engineer, I recognize the cause of this problem. The problem is that the controller is a bang-bang (on and off) controller. I plugged the unit into a watt-meter, so I can confirm that either the device is drawing 800 watts (full power), or 0 watts (no power). The turn-on temperature is 3 degrees below the set temp and the turn-off temp is the set-temperature. So it is pulling 800 watts up to the point where it stops drawing power. I measured the time between turn-on and turn-off to be approx 30 seconds. After the turn-off, the temperature continues to coast upwards even though it is drawing no power. There are several remedies to this problem. First, use proportional control (the power draw is proportional to how far away you are from the set point--don't put the pedal to the metal (800 watts) when you are close to the set point). Maybe proportional control is unrealistic for such an inexpensive device? Alternative fix: don't make the turn-on point 3 degrees below the set point. This would decrease the on-time cycle to something less than the observed 30 seconds. A shorter on-time means less coasting above the set-point. Were the engineers afraid of limit-cycling? That isn't the issue--it takes minutes for it to go from turning on the heating element to the next time it turns on. Can anyone tell me how to change to turn-on set point? I would gladly change it myself if I knew how, Anyway, I ended up keeping it because I could predict this wonky behavior. I just wait for a period after the temperature starts falling from the peak before actually pressing. I noticed that my unit didn't have the snap switch that has baffled many because of lack of instructions. My unit automatically detects the external device (in this case, the cap press) and routes power to it. Somewhere, someone did a hardware update. They probably didn't retest the system after the update, or they should have detected the temperature control problem. Your humble beta-tester. ... show more

  • Cap Press CAN'T be used with this 8 in 1 Heat Press.
Size: 12x15 Inch
Pic 1: No wing nuts to remove the base that holds the Press Platen. Even if there were any, there would be no way to turn the wing nut, as there is no room for fingers to fit around the wing nut (which is missing). The only way to remove the base, is to flip this very heavy heat press upside down to unscrew the 4 screws keeping the base in place. By the way, you can’t use the Cap Press unless you remove these. Pic 2: There is no way to fit a wing nut AND your finger in here to be able to tighten or loosen it! How is this possible!? Also, it would mean that I have to flip this heavy unit upside down to be able to screw on and off. Lastly, if I inserted screw from TOP the wing nut would not fit on the bottom. There is no room on the bottom! Help! Perhaps I received the wrong Cap Press Part for this heat press unit. But, still it doesn’t explain how I would screw it onto this base. The instructions that came with this show a different Cap Press design. Pic 3: Without the wingnuts, there is no way to keep the Cap Press in place. AND… There is no way I should be expected to turn this very heavy unit upside down to screw/unscrew the Cap Press in place and remove the two platen base holders in place! Lastly, the Cap Press CAN’T BE USED unless the platen base is removed! Seller must provide a remedy, or I will have to return this unit. I haven’t even been able to USE IT!!! ... show more
