Things I never knew I needed until I owned a home. Bought this house and noticed the garage door seal was bad. After research I found this and it was an easy straight forward replacement. It's better quality than the old one I replaced. It seals well and wasn't expensive. But you most likely will need a second person to help. I'm stubborn and try to do it all myself but in the end I had to ask the wife for help with guiding it in while I pulled otherwise it bends and bunches up.

I had to install by myself when it was cold outside. I used a spray bottle with soapy water for lube and a heat gun to soften the strip. 1st 4x went on easy, next 10x was 2" at a time, the last 4' slid right on. Admittedly it was a cramped space on starting end so I could only line up a foot at a time feeding it in. But it is thicker with better sealing than oem. It should keep the mice and pack rats from munching thru & getting into the garage.

This was fairly easy to install once I realized there was a nick in the T (I probably caused it). Luckily I had way more than I needed and was able to cut 18” section out. Lesson learned is to examine the seal completely before starting to avoid frustration with it slipping out of the grooves. Also note the seal will probably be thicker than the original seal so adjustment to the garage door down travel may be required.

This item is junk. The rubber is very fragile. It tore easily. Could not put any pressure on it before the “t” section tore. It may work for a finite selection of channels on garage doors. But I can’t see it holding up for any length of time.

Had to replace the molding on my garage door. Watched a diy video, it's incredibly easy. Could've used an extra set of hands to help guide the strip into the rails, but since I was solo, I sprayed a little silicone lube in the rails to help move it along. Once I did that, the molding went in with no trouble. This molding is heavy duty and great for the price. Will last a very long time. Highly recommend!!
