Note: give it a couple days after install to fully relax and seal, mine had a bit of light showing, even in 100 degree weather, but it quickly resolved itself. I had a friend help to install. Had to replace the molding on my garage door. Watched a diy video, it's incredibly easy. Could've used an extra set of hands to help guide the strip into the rails, but since I was solo, I sprayed a little silicone lube in the rails to help move it along.     • Good quality, but the O ring center arrives flat

I liked the idea of this garage door seal: a piece in the center to keep the seal itself from collapsing and remaining flat after the door closes. Sounds good, right? Well, theory and reality are two different things. This item arrives rolled up, like a snail's shell, with the 'T' portions flat, and then it's rolled up on itself, flattening the 'O' ring center piece in the process. When I rolled it out to make sure the size was correct for the width of my garage door, I soon realized that the 'O' ring wasn't going to be as O shaped as I hoped, and it was more like a pancake. Now, does that mean this door seal is bad? No, it doesn't. It's a pretty good quality door seal, with a bit thicker rubber than what my garage door originally came with. If you wanted to try to reconstitute the O ring, some online how-to videos suggest trying to stuff an appropriate circumference foam rod into the 'O', but that seems pretty difficult to do. Watch some YouTube videos on how to do this and you'll have an easy time of replacing your existing seal. ... show more

These worked very well and were easy to put on once we got the hang of it. On 16-ft wide doors, might be best to have a helper as it gets harder to slide these as you get toward the center.

This item is junk. The rubber is very fragile. It tore easily. Could not put any pressure on it before the “t” section tore. It may work for a finite selection of channels on garage doors. But I can’t see it holding up for any length of time.

My existing garage door is using a vinyl seal, stiffened and shrunk. I diligently measured the track width before I ordered this. So sad that it will not fit. This item has a wider T to slide in the track. The rubber quality is quite good. I would want to see the T joint taper off and has thicker rubber sheet. For the price maybe that's what you get. If I can find a repurpose usage I will keep it. ... show more
