Calling this thing "metal" in any sense of the word is a stretch. I've seen stronger happy meal toys. The winch reel thing (whatever its called) snapped on the first reel in attempt, the clutch let go, and the ATV almost rolled off the trailer into a neighbors fence. If I hadn't had some wheel chocks behind the back wheels, it would have. If you value your investments and life, don't buy this thing.

I purchased this winch in March to install on a newly purchased RZR. It appeared to be a good value for the money. Naturally I had to purchase a mounting kit to adapt it to the RZR. Be careful with this winch. It does not appear to be intended for mounting on anything but a trailer where you can just drill a couple of holes and mount it. The rollers are not even standard size and do not match up to a standard 4 7/8 inch holes. Now that the weather allows me to actually mount this winch, I will be doing quite a bit of modifications just to make it work. I should have spent a bit more up front so that the holes would just match up and I could be done with it. Needless to say there is not a lot of room to work around in this ATV and there is a lot of frustration.

The product did not come with a hook to put on the end of the cable. The product description said comes with one. This makes the product worthless. Attempts to contact them via their website is fruitless. Nobody answers except a machine that says their phone is off. Sounds like a cell phone. And nobody answers your emails either.

Winch works good. I had to reverse the wiring in the control box because it was winding out when you pressed the in button and vise versa. I could have just reversed the battery wires but that would confuse anyone else trying to use it.

I bought a new winch got it today...I opened the Amazon box .the winch was in it's original box which is normal. But I noticed the original box was heavily taped..as I was removing the parts from the box I noticed that the warning label was missing and there was paint pulled off ..I took the remote out of it's package and it had dirt on it. And the plastic connector clip is broken off

Amazing product for the price already used it 3 times it pulled my 94 Ford Ranger out of mud It's definitely a smalle one but it still does a good job I needed a smalle 1 for my truck and it did the job great I love the wireless control for it
