Background: I plan on using this in my camper, but since it is December I won't have a chance to install it until this spring. Therefore I don't have any functional comments yet, but I will update this review once it is installed. Until then the comments are based on the ability to mount it under your sink (what I think most people will use it for). Pros: + Packaged very well, the chance of it arriving damaged are low + Size is good for under sink, it's roughly a 14" cube + Costs a lot less vs a comparable unit from the Big Orange place Cons: - THE BASE IS NOT FLAT, it is curved. It will not sit upright by itself, so plan on mounting it to the back of your cabinet if you are putting this under a kitchen or bathroom sink. - The outlet lines are not exactly parallel. Seems like a basic QC issue, hopefully it won't effect reliability. - 1/2" npt pipe threads mean that you'll have to adapt it from your 3/8" sink shutoff, to 1/2 npt, then back to the sink inlet. 1/2" NPT seems to be standard for these mini water heaters, but it would be nice if it just used sink fittings. - No drain on the bottom means that you'll have to fill it with antifreeze if you are using it in a camper or RV

I'm a huge fan of the VEVOR brand and own several of their products. The 1400 Watt VEVOR Electric Mini-Tank Water Heater with 2.5-Gallon capacity has only served to strengthen my favor for the VEVOR brand. I ordered this for use in my toy-hauler RV to replace the 4th LP gas water heater that failed on me. This is the answer I was looking for and only wish I'd have found it sooner. This is much easier to install and use. It's also much safer and less expensive to purchase and operate. It can be wall, floor or shelf mounted, requires just two water connections and plugs directly into an electrical receptacle. It's less than half the weight of the gas units which is a real plus for RV's and delivers hot water faster than the LP gas heaters. The 1400 watts is very little load for even the smallest of generators. Unlike the LP gas heaters that have separate controls for gas and and water; the VEVOR water heater has one control for water temperature. This unit supplies hot water to my galley sink and bathroom with no issues. It doesn't get any better this in my thinking. I'm extremely pleased with the VEVOR Electric Mini-Tank Water Heater and consider it an outstanding value!

Been impressed with previous VEVOR products I have, and this isn't any different. Well designed and thought out, it's even easy to install and setup. Have always wanted quicker hot water at the bathroom sinks, and now we have it. Will also save wear and tear on the propane-powered tankless unit used mainly for showers. Short usage bursts aren't the best for tankless models. Being only 4 gallons, it saves on energy useage not having to keep 40 (or more) gallons of hot water heated up in a normal tank. Also, being closer to the point of use saves wasting a long run of heated water from cooling back down after it sits. All this and we don't need to sacrifice alotta space either. Multiple wins by going for this solution

I installed this in my rustic lake house, a building that only has a single sink and toilet. It was the perfect solution to get hot water at a single point. The size has allowed me to fit it under the sink in the cabinet. Perfect size and will even support a shower if I ever install one.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS __This unit has a neat clean profile. It has slightly rounded sides and bottom, so it will not rest squarely on the floor, but will rock a little. The front and back panels are flat. __The instructions talk of planning a place to allow for some drip drainage to occur. I guess this is standard procedure for full size water tanks, so why not for a small one? Yet I did not consider that ahead of time, and will adjust my plan for that. __I learned this tank has a Magnesium anode rod: This is a feature of many full size tanks as well, and it says they are replaceable in this tank. That is a really nice feature. Magnesium rods get "eaten" over time and gradually disintegrate. This is one major way water tanks eventually can fail--but if you replace them periodically you can extend the life of this or any similarly equipped tanks. That information is not widely known, but yet another way doing regular maintenance in your home can save money by extending the service life of your home utilities. Good to know. __I hope this review will help you plan/chose your purchases. __Full Disclosure: This has not been installed yet, so I can not comment on operations. I will update in January when the location planned for this is ready.
