I bought this to pump water and hydroponic nutrient solution from one container to another. The flexible hose that comes with it is worthless and a waste of time, so figure on buying a hose or tubing suitable for your needs when you order it. It’s definitely worth the money though.

All-in-all a nice heavy-duty pump for the price, makes filling 5-gallon fuel cans a breeze, excellent pump action with every easy turn of the handle. It's nice that the "cheap" plastic hose extends more than a couple feet, but it leaks at the spout after tightening the gear clamp as much as possible. This is the second pump I have purchased and they just do not work. The first pump I purchased somewhere else was purchased in a conjunction with a 30 gallon Vevor gas tank. I filled it up with fuel and then the pump never worked so I had to manually siphon it all out. The company would not replace anything so I purchased this pump to work with the fuel tank and it also doesn't work. There is absolutely no suction with these pumps. Very frustrating. After putting everything together correctly, especially with the Teflon tape. The contraption doesn't work. I have an older metal one, but wanted to retire it. This one either is allowing water to slip out, back into the reservoir it pulling from. I can't get a single drop out of this.

The thread diameter in the pump is not big enough to thread into a standard sized blue barrel. Pump works good, easy to put together., but can’t thread it into the actual barrel.
