    • A huge upgrade over "consumer" meat slicers

Having used two prior "consumer" meat slicers, this was fantastic as I was able to cut thin slices that the others could not and the larger blade size made cutting larger chuncks of meat a breeze. The back fence on old units would flex when slicing where as this does not (the is a little bit of play due to the way it adjusts but this was negligible and did not create any issues). Breaking down the unit for cleaning is a little more involved but is a small price to pay for the performance difference. The only issue I had was that I managed to strip the included Allen wrench when removing the blade to clean. I think that I may change these screw out for ones with Philips heads like I had seen on similar units. Despite being larger and more powerful than my other units, this was also significantly quieter than those units are. ... show more
