If you enjoy being frustrated by the project, this is the project for you. I am very mechanically inclined found the instructions to be incredibly hard to follow. Parts weren’t marked very well and there is a part missing. Luckily I have a cotter pin left over from a previous project and was able to use that. I do not recommend this dolly.

Need better instructions with clear pictures, but still had it put together in under 2 hours with 2 clumsy people trying to work together. Packaging was good. Only missing one lock washer. Unit seems to be pretty rugged.

This product started to rust after the first trip. Also it is not quick to disassemble (unlike like the dynamic dolley), the pin is only to adjust the length of the handle, not to quickly disassemble and thus is much too long to put into your car without modification. The front pads do not hold a kayak well(you need to raise them) and the back pads do not offer much support(a quick fix is to put a strap between them to mimic the dynamic dolley). The handles fall off easily and there is nowhere to mount a bow strap easily, but that can be worked around. Overall this offers a decent base and it would have been 4 stars if it didn't start rusting right away. If you assemble like in the photo you are able to use the pin to quickly assemble and disassemble.

I will not buy from this manufacturer again. These instructions assembly instructions are as poor as anything I have ever seen. It is my suspicion that this item has been trouble for Amazon because the customer service chat agent moved very quickly from asking me details to issuing a full refund with no need to return the item, which is nice, since it is either large, or a lot of pieces. The instructions are so bad, I cannot tell if it is missing parts, the parts are wrong, or if this is a different version of a very similar item. But, these instructions do not help with the assembly of this item.

The assembly takes a few minutes using 14mm and 17mm wrenches. I made a kayak trailer out of it and have a quick disconnect going to the trike so it can be pushed down to the riverbank. Just rode it to the St. John River, which is about a mile away. I have a couple more mods, but I like it!!!
