  • No Ramp Rash
This dolly is well-built (heavy) and designed to meet the need - I agree that there could be a little more weld on the wheels and that the instruction photos are poor but it wasn't really that hard to assemble - I would also reiterate a previous comment - the extra bolts, nuts, washers are in one of the tubes - even has a sticker on it to tell you, so check there before posting that it is missing. It is not as portable as those smaller dollies but I was not enjoying having to lift my heavy kayak and drop it on the C-Tug and then cinch it down - plus the C-Tug wheel dont roll as well as the Vevor does although I do wish the wheels had bearings - it looks like they just ride on the plastic(?) material. The breakdown of the dolly is pretty easy - I just bought some of those wire lock pins and used them everywhere - makes it a snap to assemble/disassemble. I am considering a mod to it to accept a coupler but will use it as-is for a bit to get a feel for if needed or not - I also may enlarge the pad holes to allow for maneuvering the pads to a greater angle - we'll see on that one too. Edit - Used it for first time on 10/5 - worked well easy to put into water than to get out - the wheels float so you have to step on the trailer to drop it for loading. The handle is bad - not a good pull point - I will look at mod to make it more comfortable. I can tell you that if you have a steep ramp and a heavy kayak that it will still feel heavy - thinking about modding it to put a trailer coupler on it to pull w truck up to an unloading spot. Otherwise - it is easy to assemble/disassemble, faster to get into/out of the boat ramp area, and I didn’t get water into my boots like I used to so all-in-all it is a winner for me. Edit #2 - Was having issues keeping the kayak centered on the pedestals when loading it from ramp - would take forever to get it right as you also still have to deal with the floating issue so, I added a doubled up 3” strap that spans the pedestals (similar to the dynamic dolly that Greg Blanchard uses) - problem solved. Edit #3 - Hobie Outback still twists between the posts even with the strap - looking to mod the posts (grind them down on an edge) to allow the base plates to be more on an angle. Will update with results. ... show more

  • Perfect for 12' Jon boat
Perfect to move around our 12' Jon boat

  • Inexpensive option for a portable small boat trailer
A game changer to launch my inflatable. Although a few upgrades and changes were are required to get the most out of it. 1. Ditch the wheels/tires. It comes equipped with cheap plastic roller bearings and bushings. They won't last long. The wheels have a non-standard bore size so good luck finding replacement ball bearings. Look for 16" flat free wheelbarrow/garden trailer wheels. The axle on the trailer is also metric so for the new wheels you'll need 20x35x11mm bearings. 2. I added a trailer coupler to tow my boat from the campsite to the ramp. 3. The support stands with the rubber pads didn't really work for my boat. I removed the rear ones and used PVC and and an aluminum square tube to support the rear of the boat. 4. The photo in the description is misleading. The overall trailer length is adjustable with the "rod", not location of the front pads. 5. The instructions are terrible, but it's easy enough to figure out. I ended up spending more than the original price of the trailer to customize it for my needs, but it was still 1/4 of the cost of a Dynamic Dolly. ... show more

  • Modified to a small boat trailer
Using as a camp ground trailer for a 8' pond prowler. Made a couple modifications to use as a typical boat trailer and works great!

  • Easy load and unload
Bought for a 12’ Jon boat for family pond. Kind of steep where we launch, but this thing works great, getting the boat in (only one required) and out (takes two). But so much easier than carrying the boat. Can launch with everything in it.

  • Defective right out of the box! Don’t buy!
The media could not be loaded. This dolly had a defective tire right out of the box! Husband noticed after assembling it was flat. Tried to put air in it and heard a hissing sound. There was a hole at the valve stem contacted seller they said instead of sending a new tire, they’d send an innertube (of course, my husband is not real happy about having to install an innertube, but he reluctantly said OK) Took about two weeks to get a package from them and it wasn’t an innertube! It was a whole tire that was way smaller than the one on our dolly and is a solid tire, doesn’t even have an innertube in it. Absolutely worthless! And their customer support wasn’t helpful at all when I contacted them about getting the wrong size tire and no innertube they just kept asking was I happy? Of course, I said, no! Filed a dispute with my credit card company, and had to go to Amazon customer support to get any satisfaction/refund as seller was no help at all. Found the same item on Temu for less and it will be here in a few days. I will start checking Temu for things because I’m not paying return shipment on defective items. This is the first time I ever experienced that on Amazon. I thought it was always free return shipping on defective items and you could just get a label and take it to Kohls or any other drop off place. I spent hours getting this resolved. ... show more

  • Needed some mods to make kayak ready
A loaded kayak with gear and batteries along with the sheer weight of the dolly unusable as is. I was able to reduce some of the weight by removing the 2 outer metal struts. Beware description and pictures are not accurate as I needed to drill holes in center bar to make front pad position adjustable. Otherwise it’s in a fixed position. Replaced 2 bolts with 3/8” clevis pins for easy adjusting and breakdown if needed. Lastly added 2 pvc tubes to front pads to keep kayak centered over wheels otherwise it was unbearable to use. ... show more

  • BEST WAY TO GET YOR TOYS TO THE WATER
we love are kayak trailer, we pull it with our golf cart , we put a trailer hitch on the trailer and the cart so when we hook them up, put your toys on top 2 kayaks or canoe with tubes and floats and then pile everyone on the golf cart and then just grab your best cocktail and head to river or beach. you could do this with any trailer, BUT, with this handy trailer we can take it apart in the middle and the two parts with the wheels still on fit in the same trailer that the golf cart goes in and we go back home. ... show more
