Good heat for not much money

Great little heater so far. My furnace went out on my 5th wheel recently in northern Maine . Yes it's February and yes it's cold, but the heater is keeping us fairly warm all by itself. So far no issues. It's the 8k unit. Went together easy. Runs off a 600 watt power supply. Works great. App works great. I would definitely recommend this if you have a small space to heat. When it's November 10 degrees we run it on a lower setting. Last night it got down to minus 1 and we set it for power level 6 and it kept us warm all night long on less than one tank of fuel. Just a great overall little heater for the price. Super easy to assemble the exhaust and intake to get you up and running heat fast. ... show more

Excellent Heater for the Money

Used for a month straight with zero issues. Start it up and shut it down correctly and never let it run completely dry of fuel, and you should be set. Super easy to use, puts out plenty of heat for our 40’ 5th wheel camper. Some complain of the fuel pump clicking but we don’t really notice it as the unit sits outside anyways. I am so glad I bought this. I use it in my 92G van And it only takes about three minutes to heat it up. I was absolutely amazed with how little fuel it uses. It also has a remote control and an app. I was a little confused with the app at first because you can do temperature control, or fan speed. This makes a lot more sense than what I originally thought was that you picked the temperature and then you picked a fan speed.. so I just set the temperature now and put it on auto and it adjust the fan speed accordingly. The highest elevation I’ve been is about 5500 feet and it is flawless. It uses about 9 A to get going, but that’s only for about 30 seconds and then it drops down depending on the fan speed you want, but typically under an amp. The photo I have is without my little wooden window insert install that you can see just to the left I just put that piece in my window and hook the exhaust and intake up to it and within 30 seconds she’s often running and 30 seconds to put it away and back into mobile mode. Eventually, I might put a more permanent installation, but this works perfectly for now. ... show more

Excellent heater for the price

This heater has been a great addition to my camp trailer, providing an excellent heat source for those long cold nights. It will run more than 10 hours on a tank of fuel and has been very reliable for almost 2 years now. My only issue with this unit is that it will not run off a 12v battery that is being charged at 13.5- 14.5v. Something about the circuitry prevents it from running while the battery is charging. Disconnect the charger and the heater runs great off the battery. I think that is a little unnecessary quirkiness! Otherwise, this a great heater. ... show more

This Diesel heater puts out a lot of warm heat quickly. Very east to install and setup, pretty much self contained just add a battery source, exhaust, air intake and fuel. The pump is not too noisy, it does click but it is expected for a diesel heater. I can run this off my smaller portable DC battery bank for nearly a day, I would recommend using a battery backup between the heater and the 120 service to ensure constant power incase of power loss, for a proper shut down. This is a little larger package for a diesal heater, but is all self contained. And again with my battery it last all day long, so not a lot to complain about. It is pretty strudy as well for the price point, although I recommend taking it appart and making sure all the screws are not lose. I am happy with my purchase and will likely purchase a second or even a third one for a couple of other projects. ... show more

Trouble after 2 uses. Bad quality control

Edit 3 So here we are less than 2 full months later and the temp sensor also failed. Go to turn on and temp sensor is reading over 186 degrees at startup and all the heater will do is run a self test but not start. Cannot recommend these heaters at all unless you don't mind doing some work on them after purchase. I'm past the return date so I'm stuck buying parts for it unless I want a paper weight. Edit:2 After initially liking this heater a lot it quickly became a headache as seen in my review below. After taking the heater apart I found a leak that was causing extra fuel to run into the burn chamber and run below off the air intake. Replacing the clamps stopped the leaks as the old clamps were super cheap and over tightened to point the broke and wouldn't hold tight. Got it running again without getting an E05 overheating error but now it smokes a ton during start up and shutdown. Plus it goes into self test if you change the level down. I'm guessing I'll have to open up the burn chamber to clean it due to the extra unburned fuel that was leaking into it. It kept my area nice and warm during some 30s temps so it gets an extra star added. The fact that quality control is so lacking with the broken clamps and the extra effort needed to get it to run again is why it can't get more stars. Had it not had these (fixable) issues it would be 5 stars for sure. Maybe you'll get one of the ones made on Tuesday by the worker that cares and it will work fine. Maybe you'll get one like mine that will not be quite as cared for in assembly. Just know it works great when it works. Luckily it's a simple system and plenty of YouTube videos that can walk you through any repairs needed. Worked for 2 nights and now getting E05 error for over heating. Plus it looks like fuel is leaking from the inside and running down the air intake hose ... show more

If you live at high elevation, this is the one to get!

I’ve tried another cheap diesel heater available through Amazon, and after hours of trying to figure out the fuel feed rate, I gave up. I live slightly above 6,000ft above sea level, and that heater just couldn’t cope with the thinner atmosphere up here, but this one DOES! This one worked right out of the box, and I’m not noticing any black smoke (unburned fuel), and the heater is putting out a nice amount of heat. It fires up every single time, and does its job. So if you live at high elevation, this is the one to get. Stay away from others that do not have altitude compensation. The air output is great for its size, and the heat output is around the same as my suburban propane furnace in my 22’ travel trailer. It uses around 2.7 amps at 13.5 volts while running full fan and heat. It peaks over 11 amps while starting, but that lasts less than a couple minutes. Once it reaches temp, it throttles back and consumes under 1 amp. Overall, I highly recommend this diesel heater. It’s the only one I’ve seen that just works at every elevation without tweaking fuel and fan rates. The manual is actually pretty complete and understandable, but it’s definitely a funny translation in places. For the price, you really can’t beat this one. ... show more
