This was a perfect fit for my original heater core that was leaking. It does take some work to pull the dash back enough to have access to the heater core, but the installation went well, and it is very nice to have heat inside the cab again.

So far so good after a week on my 98 grand cherokee 5.9. Only issues that I had to bend one of the tubes about an inch. They are quite hard to bend. No leaks so far and great heat.

    • Junk - Started leaking as soon as we cranked up the truck.
Only reason we changed the heater core is because we had to take the entire dash assembly out anyway to change a bad evaporator. Figured as a preventive measure, would be a good idea to hit both at once. Bad move. This thing looked like a quality product out of the box but as soon as cranked up the truck, it started leaking. Daughter couldn't even drive it home from the farm - floorboard and carpet was full of coolant. It's still at the farm waiting on another core if we can find someone to change it because that is an all day job and was all for nothing because now she can't drive her truck at all until we can get it fixed. ... show more

Installing a heater core is a difficult task . However this core went right in with no problem.
