  • Cheap Part for a Quick Fix
This was a replacement for a failed blower motor in my 09 Lancer GTS. Part arrived on time and in working condition. Didn't come with the hose needed for it but I saved the one from my broken blower so it wasn't a big deal. Fits perfectly and haven't had any issues so far. It even blows quieter than the OEM part. All in all, good price for a simple fix to an annoying problem. Fingers crossed that it doesn't crap out in a month or two. ... show more

  • Works, but there's a catch...
So here's the deal. There are two parts that may be used in a Mitsubishi Outlander. #7802A217 or #7802A277. Virtually every auto parts store recommends this part as a replacement for either part. However, as others have mentioned the hose for 7802A277 is different than the hose for 7802A217 and the TYC 700239 doesn't come with a matching hose so if your vehicle has 7802A217 already installed then this is a perfect fit. However, if you have 7802A277, then you will find the hose is too large to fit on TYC 700239. Below you will find the instructions for how I got this to work for a Mitsubishi Outlander 2014. First, open and empty your glove box. Look on the left side of the glove box and there is a damper arm attached. Carefully pinch the end of the plastic where the arm is connected and carefully pull the arm off the glove box. Now lightly squeeze the sides of the glove box to allow it to drop down and carefully unsnap it to remove it. Second, use a small screwdriver to pull the centers of the two push pins holding the lower trim allowing you to remove the push pins. Unsnap the from where the bottom of the glove box would have been and lift lower trim out exposing the motor. Third, I tested my motor by turning the car on and the vent on low and poking a rod in and giving the fan a push, it started spinning immediately. Turning it off and on it would not start again without another push indicating the motor is worn and needs replaced. Fourth, use a flexible screwdriver extension or a very short screwdriver to remove the 3 screws holding the motor in after removing the flexible hose. Now remove the power cable. Fifth, go to an auto store and purchase some a couple inches of 1/2" hose where the outer diameter is 3/4". Slip the tiny piece of hose over the new motor to create a 1/2" to 3/4" adapter. (I took my new motor and the flexible hose to the parts store to get an exact fit where they sold me the 1/2" hose. Sixth, reinstall the fan, attach the 3 screws, attach the flexible hose to your 3/4" rubber hose adapter that you made, plug in the motor, test the fan. Seventh, put the bottom trim back on and reinstall the glove box. It's a shame that TYC doesn't include the flexible hose or an adapter. I would have been willing to pay an additional $5 to have the hose or adapter in the box. I was lucky that my local auto parts place had some hose to cut and make an adapter out of. ... show more

  • Great price snd works but has a hissing noise
Works great but has a hiss sound constantly. Hopefully that will go away after its broken in. Definitely best price around and simple fix and I'm not a mechanic. Also suggest if blower motor is completely failed and not working on any speed buy this and power resistor

  • Super easy to install
Fit my '08 Lancer perfectly. Super easy to install. I haven't worked on cars before in my live and got this done in 20 mins. Works great and was so much better than the $300 the local dealer wanted for it.

  • Works fine and easy to install
Easy to install in 2007 Outlander. Three Phillips screws and a connector. New motor is quiet and works fine. Don't know why an OEM is over $150. One thing is you should order a cabin air filter while you are at it. Mine was less than a year old and filthy.

  • Dead On Arrival
Amazon shipping is great, received right on time as usual. R&R the failed blower motor assy, and it's still inoperable. Removed the new one, tested the voltage at the connector, the 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander is supplying voltage to the connector. I load tested the voltage to ensure it's not just a surface voltage from a damaged connector or failed module, and along with the voltage, the circuit was able to flow plenty of amperage. Supplied voltage directly to the new motor, and it's inoperable. New part is D.O.A. The failed motor assy that was in the vehicle is this exact same unit, and was installed less than a year ago due to the original blower motor's bushings completely failing. The original factory part lasted about 6 years. This exact part that I ordered and installed less than a year ago only lasted about 11 months. Since this one arrived DOA, I decided to return it and buy an OEM part instead. Although it's about 3 times the price, it's worth it instead of getting new parts that don't work, or having to replace it every year. Lesson learned. ... show more

  • Second time is the charm?
This ended up being the second one since the first one didn’t last but a couple months. This one has been good so far.
