There are 16 batteries at different shelf heights. this hoist had zero issues with the load, The power this has for the light 24 pounds is excellent. I read negative reviews about this system before purchasing. WHEN LOWERING THE CABLE PLACE TENSION OR WEIGHT ON THE "HOOK"!!!! The motor will push out cable in reverse, if you don't keep the cable tight it WILL wind up the cable inside causing failure. I would buy another again in seconds if I had a need. Heck at 24 pounds I can move this anywhere? I have not used the wireless control.

This basic hoist is compact enough to install in attic space for garage loading. I use mine to store kayaks against the ceiling until it’s time to drop them in the pickup bed. The remote control works great.

We got this for hauling up fireplace logs to a second floor deck. It worked fine the first time we used it. It was not as efficient the second time as the steel cable had apparently tangled...more tangling the 3rd and 4th time and would not untangle at all the 5th time. So it is now useless. very disappointing.

A quality piece of equipment. The remote is great, as is the wired remote, and the on winch control switch. The hooks arev solid. The packaging was ok with crumbling foam. I would highly recommend this medium duty winch.
