We needed a hoist that would lift 1000+ lbs and my husband was skeptical when he saw this one. But the upgrade from this one is twice the money. So he took the chance. It handled 1100 lbs seemingly well so he wondered how much more it could lift. He hooked it up to a concrete block that weighs 1425 lbs. It lifted the block, but when he released the button, the block slowly returned to the ground. The manufacturer wasn't wrong when claiming the hoist can handle 1100 lbs. Seems to be a good value so far. Lights tell you the status of the motor: green light you're good, but red lights...well, that's trouble (see photo).

    • warranty fiasco on 1000lb winch?

When my winch failed last week to go in up mode after just 18 uses over 9 months Vevor refuses to replace it and offered just $42 in compensation. I rejected that. Then 80$. NO! Then finally they replaced it on warranty.
