    • Product changed - cat won't eat anymore

My cat was taking her heart medication in these treats for about 7 years. I had this on subscribe, but the last few months I received these, the treats have come hard and I have had to soak them in water to make them soft enough to actually mold the medicine into. They also smell different and while she still eats them, it's a pain to get her to eat them. I switched a couple months ago to another treat that is softer (and easier to put her medication in) and she likes those better, but it's not lysine which is supposed to be good for her heart. I recently ran out of that other treat and opened the last bag of this I received, she won't eat it at all anymore. I'm changing my rating from 4 stars (because originally this was the only treat she would eat her medicine in), to 1 star because something with this product has changed. ... show more

My daughter's cat had herpes, and she said that these chews really helped with the symptoms. After a couple of visits, our cat seemed to have contracted the same diseases when we noticed it's watery eyes. So we started to give it the same treatment, and it has greatly reduced the symptoms. Her cat will eat the treat's right out of the bag. Our cat will eat them, but only if they are smashed in between two Temptation's Treats or mixed in with dry cat food and water. ... show more

    • She won’t eat them but they still work

“Will satisfy even the pickiest eaters” turned out not to be true lol. My cat won’t even sniff them. I’m giving it 3 stars because they do work, but it takes a lot of time to get her to take them. Since my cat won’t eat them whole, I’ve tried to pulverize them into a powder and mix it in with some of those puréed cat treats. It takes a while to form a powder since the treats are soft and pliable instead of hard and crumbly. And the pliability makes it difficult to blend up in the blender too. Once I finally manage to get it incorporated enough into the purée though she WILL eat it, but any solid chunks still left over she won’t touch. And since she’s been eating it, I’ve noticed the lysine kicking in and clearing up her watery eyes and sneezing. To make it easier on us next time, I’ll buy the powdered lysine and mix that into purées instead. ... show more
