My dog suffers from skin allergies. Two years and running. Constant chewing and licking his paws accompanied by chronic Ear infections. I have used too many powders and chews that offered zero results. Within 2 weeks of using Purina FortiFlora probiotic his symptoms began to ease. The chewing and licking of his paws became noticeably less. I did have to start him back up on his prescribed ear drop meds. Typically the ear meds would work but soon after completion of meds the infection returned. Within one month of adding FortiFlora his ears improved and showed no inflammation. Ear swabs were clear. We are well into spring allergy season and my dog is living his best. He does occasionally chew at his paws but for short bursts of time. His ears remain healthy. My dog is about 15, and sometimes has digestive issues because, well, she's 15 :) So I bought her some of these probiotics, and I have to say they are working pretty well so far. The powder is easy to sprinkle on her food, and it does not have a strong odor, so she eats it all up. Her digestion is definitely better and I will absolutely continue using this product to keep her as healthy as possible. I would change two things about this product, and they are both to do with packaging: The probiotic comes in individual packets, and since my dog is only 25 pounds, I usually only give her half a packet at a time. I would have preferred if it were in a container with a scoop rather than packets for ease of use.
