  • Worked exactly as advertised, even on a wild child
Pattern Name: Cleaner
I used this product on two cats. 1. Nutmeg, my easy-going 2 year old, and 2. Hera, our insane 4 month old heathen. 1. Like I said, Nutmeg is easy-going. I rescued her at about 4 days old. She comes when called and pretty much let's me do whatever I want to her because she's so trusting. She got a bacterial infection in her left ear, for which she is going through a round of oral meds (clavamox) + these ear drops. There was a good amount of blood/pus in there, which is why I got the drops. I tested a couple of drops on the back of her neck first to ensure she didn't have a reaction. The liquid is clear with a pleasant odor. It doesn't smell harsh or chemical-y at all. I swaddled Nutmeg in a tight little purrito to give her both the oral + otic meds. I gently held her head and put a few of the drops in her left ear, massaged a bit and then let her go. I gave her treats after every time as a reward. Her ear was re-checked after 1 week of treatment and there was no blood or pus left! Totally clean ear canal. It was a very easy process and worked like a charm. 2. Hera is a wild child who we rescued as a feral 6-week-old. She's a sweet little girl now, but her reactions are definitely more like a "stereotypical cat". Hera is very opinionated, and definitely doesn't trust humans enough to mess with her, especially when she doesn't want it! When we got Hera, she could barely hear due to the amount of ear mites and debris in her ears. Despite them being cleaned out and treated, a few days ago I noticed some dirtiness in/around her ears and figured it wouldn't hurt to try these drops on her. Again, I tested the drops on the back if Hera's neck. I swaddled her and she totally hated it. It took two people to get the drops in her ears and I opted not to try holding her head still. I got the drops in real quick and then we let her go. She clearly doesn't hold grudges though, because every time she runs off I shake a treat bag and she's right back for her reward. It definitely seems to have helped cleaned her ears, at least from what I can see (after 2 days of use). Overall, these drops were worth the money and I would buy them again. I definitely don't think you need to have an animal as easy as Nutmeg to use them. Even though I did not keep them in Hera's ears for long or massage them, it does still seem to work. I highly recommend making sure your cat's nails are trimmed and they are swaddled tightly, and always give a reward after! ... show more

  • Helped my cat tremendously!
Pattern Name: Cleaner
My cat has been scratching at her chin for a while. I thought it was flea allergies because she has done that before. I put a flea collar on her that had worked in the past but she still kept scratching her chin up even after trimming her nails to prevent damage to her chin. It got so bad that I was going to bring her to the vet to see what the issue was with her. Maybe other allergies were irritating her? Anyway, I also knew she had dirty ears cause I've been cleaning them out with just a cotton swap when it dawned on me that she is probably scratching her chin up cause of her ears. So, I decided to look up ear cleaning products to try out before going to the vet. I read the reviews on this product and decided to give it a go. I received it on a Friday and decided to try it on her by gently soaking cotton swabs and using them to clean her ears before filling her ears with the liquid as I read that suggestion by another reviewer. I've done this 3 times on both ears and I saw immediate results. She stopped scratching her chin and her behavior has improved immensely. Her chin is already healing. I will probably do the cotton swab method a couple more times before filling them with the liquid since it would be good to make sure both ears are fully treated properly. I have noticed less dirt coming out of her ears each time I use the product as well. I would highly recommend this product to others that have pets with dirty ears. It worked really fast for my cat and I feel awful it didn't occur to me sooner that her ears were the reason she was scratching her chin so bad. I included photos of her chin to show you how bad it was getting and how well it is healing. The one chin photo was taken the day I started using the product and the second photo was two days after I had been using the product to show how much better her chin was after cleaning her ears. It started healing since her ears are no longer bothering her. Her chin hadn't shown signs of healing since she started scratching it up. I did not use this product on her chin. Only her ears! I would suggest exercising some caution for pets that have more sensitive skin. My cat does not have sensitive skin but I used caution to make sure this product wouldn't make her ears worse and it hasn't. ... show more

  • Semi effective
Pattern Name: Cleaner
Works ok on my cats ears. Doesn't really clean much, and doesn't stop him from scratching his ears.

  • Same cleaner?
Pattern Name: Cleaner
The bottle I had before the solution was pink looking and this is clear and has no smell. Don't know if they have changed the formula or not, so leery about buying it again off here. Will probably just buy at store next time

  • This stuff works
Pattern Name: Cleaner
I bought this product for my old pug a few months ago when his ears were all crusty and red. I used this product on his ears a few times a day to treat his ears, which worked. Since then, I use it to clean his ears weekly and he hasn't had any redness/crustiness/itching. I would highly recommend this product, seems to be very effective at a great price. ... show more

  • Applicator sucks - to a hilariously surreal degree
Pattern Name: Cleaner
The medicine itself seems to work pretty well. The issue is that the application is absurd. The "dropper" just pours out like a faucet; as you can imagine, the cats are decidedly not a fan, and we all end up looking like we came from the water park when we're done. I'm having to order a proper dropper bottle just to use this. Why on earth would they think it would be a good idea to have an applicator that just pours liquid onto a cat's head?? This may be the last review I ever write if the cats decide to exact their completely justified revenge... ... show more

  • Easy on the ears
Pattern Name: Cleaner
My Blackie girl (cat) has constant ear issues. She is/has been treated by my vet but I also wanted something easy on the ears to wipe them out with that wouldnt burn her sensitive ears or dry them out. Well this didn't disappoint. She lays happily and let's me wipe her ears out with a cotton ball and this cleanser. She scratches less now and her ears arent as sensitive to touch. I highly recommend. ... show more
