Its very small and the holes are small but it works good on fine litter. You cannot use this scoop as a primary scooper. You still need the big one. After I scoop I go back and use this little guy to pick up any small clumps that I missed. I feel like I still need something bigger because I have a huge littler box and two GIANT Persian kitties. Im happy with this purchase. It helps the expensive Clumping Arm and Hammer “ Cloud” type litters last longer. Its easy to rinse off, light but not cheap or thin. Had I read the description better, I would have realized the tool was the wrong tool for me to use in a cat's litterbox. I needed small holes for the sandiness of the litter. But these holes were too small for my intentions. Otherwise, an excellent tool, well worth the money.

This is definitely a reptile scoop. It is not suitable for scooping hermit crab poop. This is a cheap plastic scoop. It's sturdy enough but I feel like it wouldn't take much more than the usual cleaning to snap the handle off. It is light and the shape makes it easier to get to the corners. Nothing too special. Side note: If you have sand in your hermit tank, get a mesh scoop. If you have other thicker substrates, like the coconut bedding, just add rollies pollies (pill bugs) to help clean up the tank a bit and just replace a little bit of the substrate every couple weeks. ... show more
