  • OMG IT WORKS!!! Pls read my entire review
Scent: Peppermint Size: 96 oz
WE HAVE NO FLEAS! How can this be?!? I can't believe it! I read the reviews and I can't understand why some are saying Vet's Best home spray doesn't work. This is great stuff, worth every cent and more. I Frontlined all our pets, which was great, fleas gone on pets, but they were still in the house, in furniture, in carpeting, etc. We were getting itchy ankle bites while we slept. I sprayed everything. Had to get rid of a few rugs because I know fleas are experts at surviving in carpet. I have fought fleas before, years ago, before Frontline existed. I did not win the war. We spent years wasting a lot of money on bombs for every room, shampoos, useless flea collars, everything...for nothing. Then we moved. I know firsthand fleas are tough to get rid of and the key is not to get them. We've always had indoor cats and 1 dog. Since the introduction of Frontline, I always made sure to use that for the dog all spring and summer. But I got so busy this year. I didn't get to it. In the back of my mind I didn't think it was such a big deal. After all we've been flealess all these years. Would it make such a difference if I got to it late, in June instead of April? I was so stupid. Of course the dog got fleas and now 5 cats also had fleas. Thank God Vets Best saved us! This product works! Just make sure you leave no area undone. I dont know if it helped that I sprayed heavily before I read the instructions to just mist. The beds and couches had to dry for an hour or two, I sprayed so much. I sprayed in all the furniture crevices, between mattresses and boxsping, every inch of pet beds, any rug I wasn't getting rid of got saturated twice. Fleas will find safe places to hide. Eliminate the safe places! We noticed the difference almost immediately. The scent was mostly pleasant but very very strong, all windows were opened once we realized how strong the scent. We put the dog outside and the cats in the bathroom for an hour in case the strong smell would effect them adversely. I had several blankets we keep tossed on couches. I washed those blankets in hot water and then kept them folded in a laundry basket in the basement since it's summer and we don't need them on the couches. No pets go in basement by the way. I assumed the hot water killed anything but weeks later I stood near this laundry basket to get something on a shelf and I felt something on my feet. Tiny black dots! Freaking fleas! Either fleas survived the washer or eggs did. I sprayed my feet and the blankets immediately, no issues since. THIS STUFF IS A GODSEND!!! I keep several bottles around the house just in case we see or suspect anything; 1 in the basement, 2 on the main level and 2 upstairs. We also bought a flea product at Home Depot to spread around the yard. It's been a month since, might do that again just in case. Make no mistake, fleas are in this fight to win. Do not underestimate them. Get them everywhere they might be. Save yourself years of fighting them by doing a thorough job of killing them everywhere...on the pet, on the furniture, in the yard. Frontline (or similar product) alone won't do it. This spray alone won't do it. Just a few surviving can repopulate almost overnight! Vet's Best home spray should be part of your arsenal of weaponry in a multi pronged attack. You CAN win this war! 9/23/20 UPDATE: WE STILL HAVE FLEAS!! Because Frontline doesn't work! We have used Frontline several times now and it's not like it used to be. It kills some but not all. We called Frontline and they said we can use it again so I've been re-dosing 1 dog and 5 cats about every 2 weeks, lots of money spent. It's not killing the fleas and they don't open a claim unless you've used it for 3 months. That's 3 months of fleas multiplying!! The Vet's Best home spray though is doing a great job. We spray the dog bed, the front door rug, our beds (when we don't, we get ankle bites) and all fabric furniture (couches, chairs). After this I'm trying Seresto collars. It will cost $300 for 6 pets but I'd give anything to get rid of the fleas once and for all. We also dump salt on all fabric furniture and the one rug. We definitely have them on the run but they are still on our pets. If only the frikin Frontline worked!!! ... show more

  • This Really Works!!! It works FAST!
Scent: Peppermint Size: 32 oz
Recently I was faced with a very difficult situation. A dwelling which had been unoccupied for years, yet somehow despite no humans or pets living inside it, there was a flea infestation so vast that it needed immediate attention. It was so bad, that when I walked into a room the fleas would immediately cover my feet and legs. This was a situation I’ve never faced before. I began looking online for the best way to address this flea problem, I had a feeling I was going to have to go the route of a harsh chemical solution or even an exterminator in order to get rid of the fleas, especially for fast results. I saw the product details on this spray, and in my desire to act in a healthy way to face the situation I chose to try this, while still fully expecting that it wasn’t going to work, and that I would have to resolve to use the harsh chemicals instead, eventually. So I ordered this Product and it was delivered very fast thankfully because the situation was out of control. The product was very well packed when I opened it. I found it to be the very bottle size and style that was in the listing. I really thought at the time that should’ve ordered two thinking it couldn’t possibly be enough for my infestation. I opened it up and was surprised at how well it smelled smelled too good to be something that could work. (Keep in mind that I love mint and spearmint and other similar scents, so if you do not like those scents you may need to find something else) I decided to go ahead and began immediately spraying the harshly affected areas. I sprayed everything carpet, walls, flooring, you name it, the house smelled amazingly minty. I noticed that immediately there were no more fleas jumping on my feet. I thought that was great, but was thinking I will see a bit later. Later, there were still no more fleas. The next da, still no more fleas. The day after that, there were no more fleas. About the fifth day, I noticed a few fleas, just a few and they were tiny like they perhaps had just hatched? (I’m no flea expert!) I aggressively sprayed the spray again everywhere as before, and I was concerned because I thought just what I had thought from the start, that it was not gonna work even though it lasted for a day or so a few days and I was happy, but now I’m gonna have to order at least more or something else because the bottle was down to about half the amount inside because I sprayed it everywhere but after those few days actually, I didn’t see any more fleas…it really lasted. I was surprised so I had some left in the bottle and I decided to put a light spray once every week in those heavy areas just in case the fleas should return and since then I have not seen any fleas and that’s been months ago. I didn’t even have to order a second bottle after all, I didn’t have to order harsh chemicals either, so I’m very pleased. Also, my house smelled very good for at least two days after the intense spray then it isn’t noticeable afterward. I do recommend this product.! It didn’t seem to harm anything that I sprayed it on. I sprayed it on the furnishings that we brought in just in case there would be some attraction from wherever the fleas had been coming from onto the furniture, but there were not any more fleas, so I am very happy with the results. I can honestly recommend Vet’s Best Flea and Tick dog and home spray. I’m gonna order some more for the future in case there’s a problem that should arise, but for now its still good. I should also mention that I have tried it on ants, (the small ones.) It seems to kill them on contact. Perhaps it works on other insects too? I don’t know, but I do recommend this spray for the fleas for sure. In the video you will see the only bottle that I used to kill all of those fleas and there is still about an eighth of the bottle left full. ... show more

  • Worked pretty well for fleas- slowed but did not stop them
Scent: Cotton Spice Size: 32 oz
Works alright for the fleas but the spray top stopped working quickly. The trigger stays stuck and I had to pull it out to squeeze it since the first couple weeks of use. Nice smell that doesn't linger too strongly but does start strong.

  • amazing. SO helpful
Scent: Peppermint Size: 32 oz
let me start off by saying that i don’t often leave reviews for products. only if they’re either really bad, or really good. this one thankfully happens to be the latter of the two. roughly 2 weeks ago my dog started itching this same spot near her tail. at first i thought it was allergies, until a few days passed and she was letting me rub her belly, and i noticed a flea on her stomach. i picked it off and flushed it down the toilet (if anybody has dealt with fleas before, you know how it is virtually impossible to kill them in your hands). i immediately started searching for some products to help rid my house (and my dog, of course) of any and all fleas. first of all i bought 2 of the sticky terro traps that are meant for fleas. i put one downstairs next to my dog’s crate (she’s still a puppy so to help crate train she sleeps in the crate at night). i put the other terro trap in my room next to where she lays. the glue trap next to her cage has caught a handful of fleas so far (not to mention a spider, a fly, and many fruit flies LOL so those are really helpful as well). for context, the terro traps have a lightbulb on them, which attracts bugs with its warmth. this significantly helped bc with the warm weather, i’ve had the air conditioning on in the room that my dog sleeps in, so i assume some of the fleas weren’t fond of this, and gravitated toward the heat emitted from the trap. now, enough of the terro traps. this spray here.. is amazing. there are 2 different spraying intensities- one is like a jet stream, and the other is more of a mist. both options were helpful. i sprayed it either directly on my dog’s fur (careful near the face!) , or on her brush which i then used on her. this stuff within seconds killed the fleas on her. any that i noticed on the surface of her fur.. one spray and they were falling onto the floor. if they were still moving when on my floor, i’d spray them again but at that point they would die and i was able to flush them. i used this spray on all of my furniture and carpets. no stains or anything. the smell is actually really nice. a nice spearmint scent. it isn’t TOO overpowering, but either way if it gets the job done, i couldn’t care what it smelled like. on top of all of this stuff i’ve also given my dog capstar pills. they’re safe to give every day in addition to using other *certain* flea treatments. so far now it’s been about 4 or 5 days and i haven’t seen any fleas on her, and i’ve been doing thorough searches through her fur i’m not going to say this spray has single handedly saved me, because i definitely had the help of a few products, but this stuff works amazingly and if you’re having a flea infestation i would HIGHLY recommend it ... show more

Scent: Peppermint Size: 32 oz
I’ve been buying this spray for quite a while, but this is my first time leaving a review. The biggest advantage is that it works surprisingly well on flies. Whenever I spray it directly on flies, it kills them quickly. For fleas, I think it works okay, but I personally find it much more effective against flies. The biggest downside is the strong smell. I also use the cat version from the same brand, and I’m surprised that the dog formula has a much stronger scent. I’m not sure why there’s such a big difference. Another issue is the packaging. This bottle arrived with only about half of the liquid left. I’m not sure if it leaked during shipping or if the packaging could be improved to prevent this from happening. Even with these issues, I’ll probably continue buying it because it really does help with flies. I just hope the manufacturer can improve the packaging and maybe reduce the strong odor of the dog formula. ... show more

  • Anyone want to start a Flea Support Group?
Scent: Peppermint Size: 32 oz (Pack of 2)
I have NEVER written a review before. This past month and a half of dealing with a severe flea infestation has been one of the most challenging times I've ever experienced. I have spent so much money and tossed out so many things. I feel like we all need a support group. Did Vets Best totally fix my issue, no, but did it help immensely, speed the process up, and help with my state of mind? Sure did! Side note: HOW is there no easy way in the year 2023 to get rid of fleas?!? I don't want to get my hopes up too much that I am completely rid of Fleas, but I think I am for sure on somewhat of the other side of it. What I found most helpful during this process was reading everyone else's experiences, so I'll share mine in the hopes it helps at least one other person. My indoor (never outdoor, untreated) cat had been leaving this blackish dirt everywhere. I really had no idea what it was, I usually have my windows and screen door open and there was a lot of construction around my apartment, silly me just figured it was that...Well, I was scrolling through TikTok one night, and this woman is talking about how she noticed 'flea dirt' on her foster kitten, at that moment, everything just clicked into place for me. I checked my poor cat out, and sure enough I saw the little buggers. The next morning I woke up and my life has not been the same. Called the vet and they couldn't get him in for a few days (because of course), so I attempted a flea bath, but nothing is going to work until you treat the animal and start seriously treating your house. I have been vacuuming every single day, twice a day. I start with my big vacuum going around each and every wall of the house with the hose, and then I do a big vacuum. I then send the Roomba around. I did ultimately decide to toss my rugs, which some say was an overreaction, but anyone who is deep in the middle of this I think can understand. I vacuum the couch every other day. I did lay a sheet down over it, so the cat would have less contact. It took me about a week to start using the spray. At first, I bought WONDERSIDE, which I really liked the smell of the Cedarwood, however, that spray is VERY expensive and when I sprayed the floor, it left a film over it. I did spray Wondercide on my cat, but I don't really know how much that helped. As I was bleeding money, I was looking for a cheaper alternative, and I started using VETS BEST. I actually like spraying this on my couch and floors better. I've even used it in my car as a percussion. I have not sprayed VETS BEST directly on my cat. The smell is Spearmint, it's truly not super overpowering, lingers for a bit, and then dies down pretty quickly. And honestly, I would rather smell spearmint for 5 mins then have fleas running wild. Again, I cannot directly know for sure if this has done anything more than give me a little peace of mind, but let's put it this way, I just placed my 4th order. So, what would I say to someone just starting this terrible journey? 1. Treat your animal. My indoor cat will never be off flea meds for the rest of his life. I never want to go through this again. 2. Start vacuuming daily, and if you have a roomba, send that around too. Empty the vacuum OUTSIDE every time. It's also a good way to check your progress. 3. Brush your pet daily. I had a bowl of hot water with Dawn Dish Soap so they would die a hot soapy death. 4. Wash bedding every other day at least. (This has been the hardest, as I live in an apartment and have to pay for laundry, but you HAVE to do it) 5. Spray VETS BEST around the house every few days and then don't vacuum to let it sit. 6. If you can get rid of your rugs, I would...truly whatever gives your peace of mind, that's important. 7. CapStar! You can get it from your vet or way cheaper on Chewy. I wish I had known about this pill sooner. 8. I spoke with exterminators, and they said that they can come 'treat' the house, but given the life cycle of fleas, they'll have to come back again. Really the only thing you can do is vacuum. I like to think that over a month in a half in, I am almost on the other side and now am just maintaining to keep the next cycle at bay. But I cannot recommend this product enough. Good. Luck. ... show more

  • DANGER!! READ REVIEW ABOUT OUR NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE!!!
Scent: Peppermint Size: 32 oz
This stuff almost killed my dog! I applied it as stated. He only had a small number of fleas from playing in the field recently but I was worried about the eggs. So after reading reviews, I thought this was a more natural solution to those harsh chemicals that other sprays have. With in 10 minutes or so of application, he began to get sluggish and by a half hour later, his head was limp and he started convulsing!!!! We washed him immediately, once with Dawn and twice with just water. The damage was done. He went into severe seizures which came on for hours. We obviously took him to the vet and I brought the bottle with me. The vet said that this was not all natural and that the chemical that starts with an "E" that is listed as a main ingredient (I don't have the bottle any more and can't remember the name if the ingredient) is a neuro toxin that basically made his neurons misfire. Our dog could not walk, see and his hearing was off. We'd call to him from one side and he would look the other way if at all. As he slowly started to recover almost 20 hours later, he began to drink large amounts of water. We took that as a good sign. He slowly regained the use of his legs. Now he walks and runs with a bit of a sway to his back legs. We are convinced he has vision problems and hearing issues which are seemingly permanent. And he sleeps a lot now. He was vibrant and full of life before. We just anguish over this. I've cried so many times and prayed that he would make a full recovery. I thought I was doing the right thing by buying this. We are very careful in the food and treats we give him and what we use for grooming products. That's why Vets Best seemed like the right choice. It has now been almost exactly two weeks since our nightmare began. My little baby boy is probably forever changed. We love him no matter what but are so angry that this company (and Amazon allows it) tells you how wonderful and how safe this is but fails to pull this from it's product assortment even though many many more people have had this happen to their pets. I did some reading into this and the internet is full of horror stories like ours. I'm not saying that this will happen to your pet, but do you really want to risk it? I wish to God I had never bought this. My little Freddie boy would be whole and healthy still. I can't implore you enough to not buy this. The vet said to stick to the major name brands because they are rigorously tested to even human standards even though there is no official government agency that apptoves things like this. Because of that, there's so much that these companies can get away with. Thank you for reading this review and know that I am being 100% honest and open for no other reason than to tell Freddie's story and to maybe help someone else from making the mistake I did. Be well and be safe. ... show more
