I woke up to aching shoulders daily before I bought this mattress. Soft mattresses are just not for everyone and I really studied the reviews to pick this winner. It is firm but not to the extent is has no give at all. The sides are supportive when sitting on the edge of the mattress. It rose to the full depth with no problems within 24 hours. This is a heavy mattress. It doesn't slip around on the bedframe. I have no complaints. at all about this purchase. Update: after only a couple of months, it has become a bit less firm. Even the side edges seem a bit less firm. I am dismayed that firm twin mattresses are so difficult to find. ... show more
