My new 70 lb mattress arrived in a tall, surprisingly slim box after a lot of confusion about shipping, several days early. It was easy to unbox, awkward to position, and unexpectedly easy to release from its wrapper. Be warned it pops open with great enthusiasm (upside down, of course!). It poufed out most of the way within minutes and fully by the next day. It is comfortable, but much firmer than I was expecting. If you have joint pain, it can be difficult to get comfortable.

When I first received the express delivery, the mattress was rolled up and compressed. It popped open instantly after being opened, and there were no wrinkles at all to affect the appearance. I couldn't help but jump a few times when I sat on it. The mattress firmly supported my weight and was very elastic. When I lie on the bed, my body will not rebound instantly and produce a reaction force, which can effectively relieve the pressure on the sleeping surface. UPDATE - 10 days in Not only has the mattress not flattened itself out (the top half is noticeably taller/firmer than the bottom), but the "padding" that is supposedly several inches thick is also barely attached - it's already coming up in the middle. It's uncomfortable, my back hurts more every night, and the quality is abysmal. What a rip-off. Going to see if someone locally wants it for a spare room where it won't cause chronic back pain, and I'mjust going to buy a better mattress and eat the cost. DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK. --- It's my first night with the mattress, and I can already tell that it is not what the pictures would lead you to believe. I don't know where all these supposed layers of foam and padding are - I can feel the springs on the side of the mattress and they go all the way up to the quilted layer. Sitting on it I can feel individual springs in some spots. Sitting on the edge I can feel the springs on the sides bending outward instead of straight down - there does not seem to be any real structure to keep the springs under control. Even my full memory foam mattress didn't sink this much on the edges. Will update after a few nights sleeping on it, but so far I am not impressed. I'll give it a couple nights to see if the sleeping experience is any better

I bought a similar spring mattress before, but it broke after half a year. But I like that kind of mattress, so I searched for a long time before I found this new mattress. It has an extra layer of memory foam on top of the original spring. It feels very soft, has no unpleasant smell, is the right size, and is very breathable. It perfectly combines comfort and support, and is not easy to deform. It's really good.

The delivery was on time. No issues with the mattress expanding. HOWEVER .. I feel like I am sleeping on a rectangular trampoline. There is too much 'bounce' in the mattress! This mattress is too soft for me, and I wake up daily with my lower back hurting. (I am 71 years old) This mattress would be perfect for a kid who likes to bounce on a bed, because my Grandson (6 years old) thinks it's great to bounce on! He loves it! Ugh! This is the worst medium firm mattress I have ever had! I am stuck with it now. I spent 2 hundred bucks on a too soft, trampoline type bed! If you are elderly, DO NOT BUY!
