I bought these glasses primarily for the size and shape. I planned to use them as "work" glasses. I do like the size, shape, and weight of these glasses. The reason I am only giving them 3 stars though, is that they very quickly get scratches on the lenses. I don't even know where these scratches came from. Normally, the cheap glasses I've been buying last much longer than these did before getting serious scratches. Also the lenses are really thin and pop out very easily even when just cleaning them. Speaking of which, it seems like simply cleaning them with the provided cloth had worn off the "color". A month after buying these they are completely unusable. ... show more

I bought these to keep as a "travel" pair of sunglasses in my suitcase. They seem pretty decent, though not constructed as well as the Serengeti brand that I've used for my main sunglasses, for the last 30 years. The Verdsters are 1/3 the price, so that tradeoff is not surprising. I use these Verdster Islander sunglasses daily. I suffer from photosensitivity and have a plethora of sunglasses, but these are by far my favorite. The seemingly rubberized frames, mirrored tint, one-piece design, and anti-salt lens coating are all crucial elements that make up a great pair of sunglasses. Been using for several months now and really like these they fit great I have a large head so sometimes hard to find shades. These however only get 3 stars cause they are cheap and feel cheap and the lenses scratch easily. But that's what you pay for however if you treat them gently they will be fine. ... show more
