Pros: Wide soft and smooth cotton purse/tote type straps Design inspiration is a classic duffle bag. Water resistant, both inside and out Made for adults, with travel in mind Comfortable and holds-up well. Lightweight at just over (6) oz Nice looks, catches attention. Decent tear resistance found Very easy to take on and off. Recycled Cotton exterior Durable, thick materials Easy to pack for travel Premium construction Perfectly stitched. Ready to use Single zipper Durable Unisex Sturdy Famous brand with exterior brand label It’s a carryall overnight tote, it’ll fit a small toddler to lots of clothes, toys, and more. Cons: No tag noting made of cotton Premium looks at an upper mid-level price How was this received I received a soft sided thick, rectangular, mostly clear, see-through, tape sealed, plastic type package (I appreciate this, as this kept the contents of the package clean). Measurements and such The package measured 26” wide by 20” tall, and about 3” thick, with Vera Bradley’s Travel Tote Bag inside. The package weighed in at over (1½) pounds. The front, of the package, had warnings about the bag’s [lack of safety to children]. Inside was something interesting Inside the package was Vera Bradley’s Travel Tote Bag, of course, flattened like a pancake. Accompanying the tote was a Vera Bradley “Micro-Pak Enhanced PE Sheet.” What is that? A Micro-Pak Enhanced PE Sheet is intended to [control] [inhibit] [mitigate] [odor causing bacteria,] mold and mildew on products enclosed in packaging intended for shipment. Hmm, interesting. PE sheets are supposed to eliminate mold spore growth as soon as relative humidity begins to near unsafe levels. This unique humidity-based activation ensures the tote is protected from the threat of mold growth for extended periods of time. What does that mean to me? Attention to detail! I like that. Looks As can be expected, from a Vera Bradly product, this is very fashionable, a rich in color Paisley (think of a pattern in lavender, blues, purples, and pinks for a color palette, with a light-blue zipper on the top center of the tote. The tote is beautiful, versatile, sophisticated, and desirable. To me, it resembles a typical rectangular tote, but oversized, and in some ways, a purse. Reason being the bag is more horizontal in nature and has purse, tote, and shoulder handles and strap. I think the shoulder strap a great bonus. Interior The interior has a near 60-liter capacity – or over 2 cubic feet in size. It’s huge. Front slip pocket There is a slip pocket, I really appreciate that. What that is, is I can put this on top of my luggage, and slip the luggage handle through this slip pocket, to secure the bag on top of the luggage, as I walk about. Care There is no reference if this is machine washable. The alternative is pull out and wipe down. Odors This has no odors. How does it feel? It does not feel like there is any weight to this, at (1½) pounds (empty), it’s a big hulking whopper of a bag, and I love it. How does it look? I think it looks trendy and fashionable. It’s so unique others will think this a couture luxury item, that’s how good it looks and is made. What about rain? I do not worry about getting this bag wet, as it is easy to clean and dry. Any other pockets? Yes, there is an open external pocket. An internal zippered pocket, and two (2) open interior pockets. How does it wear? This drapes softly and beautifully, and adds to feminine aesthetics for any princess, however, a prince does use this too. Mom approved? Yes. I give this a double fisted thumbs-up approval. Giftable? Oh, big time. Great as a gift. Any person who gives this will look like a hero. Plus, there is a wonderful thick brand tag on this. Rough dimensions The tote is about 26” x 10” x 14”. The interior is of a similar size. Performance It’s very soft sided, so can collapse easily. Also, the bottom is wide, in the 10” area. The handles add-on about 6” to 10”. Country of origin Cambodia Criticism Hmm, I like that it can lay flat, for storage, but I also like a tad bit of stability, instead of being so soft sided. Further, the sewn-in tag does not reference this is made from recycled cotton; nor does it reference care instructions. Think about it, if I am at the store, and a competing bag has a tag noting cotton, and this does not, and I like them both equally and they are the same price, I am going to pick the bag that references being made of cotton, and recycled, even more so. Value I like the idea of the exterior being made of recycled cotton and consciously crafted (not a seam or thread out of place); So, I can understand the mid-upper-level price. Bottom-line? I like this and would select it again, it’s a weak five (5) stars. I hope my thoughts added information.

I ordered this bag for my wife, ahead of a short trip that is scheduled in the next week. She has a shoulder bag already but it is old and tattered in places and she has needed a new one for a while. We have had good experiences with Vera Bradley products in the past so I was very optimistic about this one. It has definitely met expectations. We were surprised when we took it out of the package - it is bigger than we expected. Yes, the dimensions are listed on the product description but it is difficult to picture the actual size until it is in hand. This is larger than a typical carry-on shoulder bag or camera bag. Being cotton, it is crushable without damage which means it can be forced into a small space if necessary. It can also be overstuffed too if need be. It seems to be made very well. We have found no loose threads, no uneven stitching, and no cuts or tears in the fabric. The loops for the carry strap are sewed on nicely and should not break away unless the bag is heavily overloaded (and if it's loaded up that heavily you're using the wrong bag anyway). The main compartment is large and spacious but it has smaller pockets as well for smaller items like a travel toiletries bag, phone, glasses case and more. There are pockets on the inside as well as the outside, though it is not covered in them like some bags I have seen. I like that it can be attached to the extensible handle of a rolling suitcase and has a sleeve for that purpose. That makes hauling it into a hotel a lot easier when moving many bags. This is a really nice overnight bag. It is spacious, it's well made and it had some thoughtful features put into it.
