This is a LOVELY melt-and-pour soap base. It is incredibly silky, melts well and doesn't harden right away. I was able to mix my botanicals, essential oils and mica into the melted soap easily. Hardens quick once in the mold. I plan on buying more of this to make mini decorative inlays. There is no scent and it's very easy to work with. I am new to soapmaking but I did notice that the mica powder didn't stay throughout the bar and partially sank to the bottom of the mold. The ingredients are some of the most natural I've seen on Amazon. However, there is no indication if the palm oil in this base is sustainable or certified and that's not cool. ... show more

    • Do not add any extra oils or butters !!
Great and soft soap! When melting and remolding soap DO NOT ADD ANY EXTRA OILS OR BUTTERS , over time the soap will form pockets of oils… melt and pour bases are already soap ( Saponified ) so anything extra will not actually blend together . You can add fragrance and mica…. Hopes this helps

This soap base is amazing! It contains a very nice moisturizer, but isn’t oily. I use this brand of base, only, for all of my melt and pour soaps. Family and friends all love the this soap, as well. This soap base was received in a ziploc bag with their label slapped on it. The bag was also very dirty, so I had to switch it to my own bag. The soap base itself has worked great in my recipes.
