  • Installation easier than expected
Size: 17.7"x78.7" (45x200cm)
After much deliberation, procrastination and a few glasses of wine, I decided it would be much easier to cover the glass doors to the craproom than clean out the crap. And I was right. But nervous. I read a lot of reviews stating this stuff was hard to use and stuck to itself and made a mess with the water, etc. I didn’t find any of that to be the case at all. I ordered a roll for each door, held it up and eyeballed it and then cut the whole dang strip lengthwise. I taped it to the wood above the glass insert at the top of the door, sprayed a healthy volume of fine mist water from a travel size spray bottle and grabbed a credit card to squeegee the film to the door and swoosh out the droplets. Had a microfiber towel on hand to wipe away the excess water. It was easier than expected. Just keep watching the sides and make sure it’s lined-up. At the bottom of the glass I eyeballed it, cut off the unused portion and stuck it down using the same water method. Done. The next door I decided to try a different tactic. Because why keep using one that works when you can potentially screw it up, right? Yeah, so I cut as I went. Still taped the top of the roll to the wood at the top of the door to hold it in place while I was lining it up. Then I stuck one side flush to the edge and cut the other side with an exacto knife as I was sticking it to the glass. I made some bad cuts and you can tell but that’s not the point. The point is, the first way worked much better. The film stuff is very easily manipulated, easy to lift off and re-stick many (many) times. The tape at the top was a huge help. The crap inside the room is still visible, but blurred and not screaming at people when they come in the front door, like before the film. (Those were dark days.) The opaqueness is perfect for jambling the contents of the room, rendering the books, crafts, books, pens, books, I’m not sure what all is in there stuff colorful but not identifiable. Perfect!!! I’m trying to get a good pic that doesn’t make it look like it’s not stuck in some places, because it is! This hasn’t lifted or peeled or done bad things at all. It’s been weeks and all I have noticed is the peace and tranquility of the mess-free happy place. So in conclusion, we are very pleased with this project (especially my hubby who just glides past the doors now as if they are a fine piece of art). Hmmm, what else I can hide instead of clean…. *Pic shows light from the open windows inside the room, the film is stuck very well to the glass inserts. Oh, and they are beveled glass too so that’s extra cool. You can make out the white cabinets and colored stuff but photo also shows the jambling. It’s beautiful science. ** For those who are curious, I applied the film to the inside of the doors. Guess you could do both sides for extreme jambling. ... show more

  • No More Blinds‼️♥️
Size: 17.7"x78.7" (45x200cm)
I love natural light and hate keeping my blinds closed, but that meant anyone walking by could see straight into my kitchen and hallway. This window film was the perfect solution. I applied it to the bottom portion of my kitchen windows so people can’t see what I’m doing, but the sunlight still pours in and I can leave my blinds open all day. Now, someone would literally have to walk right up to my window (or get a ladder!) to see inside. They still can’t see in unless they look through the top part with a ladder lol. Installation was very easy. The cut lines on the backing made measuring and trimming simple, and the film went on smoothly. I also used it on my hallway windows, covering the full window since you could clearly see me walking up the stairs before. It looks beautiful, gives me the privacy I need, and still lets in plenty of light. I 100% recommend this product. ... show more

  • I like this window film's level of privacy and...
Size: 35.4"x78.7" (90x200cm)
This is a non-sponsored review. I purchased and applied this window film myself. Pros: I found that this window film provides just the right amount of privacy while still allowing the sunlight in. Measuring the right size and cutting the film to size was made easy with the film's backing, which has a grid pattern printed on it. Peeling the film from the backing was easy using the stickers included. The film application took me several tries before I got it right. Although I followed the instructions and applied water to both the film and glass surfaces, I found the film wanting to stick to the glass too soon, before I was ready with its position. Starting over was easy...just peel and respray both surfaces with water. Tip: if you find that the film keeps wanting to stick to the glass before you are ready for it to take on that position, it might mean that you are not using enough water and need to respray more generously with water in your next attempt. I really liked how water was the adhesive for the film instead of other chemical adhesives. Areas for improvement: I found the film to be thinner than what I wanted or expected so only time will tell how well it holds up through the seasons. It has been at least a couple of weeks since the application and there are still air bubbles (very small in size) around the corners and edges of the film. I have tried to flatten out the bubbles but they remain. Hopefully, the manufacturer/company will address these concerns in its future products. ... show more

  • Clever alternative to shades or curtains
Size: 17.7"x78.7" (45x200cm)
I purchased this as a temporary quick fix until I bought shades, but these window decals spoke to the minimalist in me. In the bathroom, I used these on the lower row of panes, giving more than enough privacy, but letting full light through the untouched panes. Also no shade or curtain to clean, and my window frame and bathroom feel less cluttered. They’re really easy to install, just have to do a little measuring and craft cutting. They just cling to the window. I didn’t even need water. They lift right off too, if you need to reposition or remove them. Getting the bubbles out is tricky, but use a credit card to smooth it out and just do your best. ... show more

  • It doesn't install very well and reeds are too thick to look like glass.
Size: 17.7"x78.7" (45x200cm)
The reeds are rather thick so they don't really look like glass. Also, the installation is not easy. As you can see from my photos, it looks okay during the day but at night you can really see all the bubbles. We followed the instructions exactly and even incorporated other reviews so we were prepared. But it still didn't go well. ... show more

  • SO Happy With This Product!!
Size: 23.6"x78.7" (60x200cm)
I originally ordered another type of film to apply to the shower doors in our motorhome to mask some scratches on the glass. Unfortunately, I did not realize at the time that the product I ordered had an adhesive backing. It turned out to be an absolute nightmare! It was almost impossible to get all the bubbles and creases out, not to mention that it took one full day to apply 3 panels (I'm somewhat of a perfectionist :)). I was so unhappy with the result that I decided to remove it entirely. It definitely came off much easier than it went on. After some research, I learned about this product, which is a "cling" type of film with NO adhesive backing. Since I liked the "reeded" glass look and this company offered something similar, I ordered it. I am SOooo glad I did! The vinyl film was much easier to work with and easily removed and repositioned if there was a mistake. It took only a little over an hour to apply the 3 panels, and although there were a few bubbles, it was easy to work them out with a credit card and a squeegee. Just a bit of advice here: be sure to follow the instructions for using LOTS of water during the process. I actually used a mixture of a couple of drops of baby shampoo and water, made it slick and easy for squeegee-ing. I love the results (see pictures), and even though it has no adhesive, it stays in position perfectly. And if I ever decide to change it out, it comes off in just a few seconds. Highly recommend this product!! ... show more
