I purchased one of these for myself and liked it so much I purchased one for my husband, too. The lowest setting is what I normally use, and it's plenty bright for me. It's more of a warm color, vs the bright white, which I prefer. The charge holds a long time with it as well. I don't use the clip as much as my husband; I prop it on my chest facing the book. I don't like having to mess with the light every time I turn a page. I did accidentally put mine through the wash and it STILL works. This was a gift from my husband to replace a similar item that is much heavier and harder to keep attached to the book. I mainly use this type of light when I am reading in the car or in bed, and it serves those purposes very well. I am using this for night lighting on a kindle 3g keyboard version. Previously I was using the cold white light from the kindle cover w/light. The light is heavier than I expected. The clip bond is ok for an adult but I would imagine with a child moving and fidgeting the light would fall off. There are 3 brightness levels, anything beyond the lowest setting is too bright. As you can see in the photo, the lowest setting works fine on a 6" screen. My cell phone did not capture a true rendition of the warmth of the light, and the photo makes the light look colder than it is. The light is very warm. The best thing about this light is, it remains an overhead light projecting onto the reading surface instead of the light being produced by the screen itself (e-readers with backlights.) I don't find the backlighting as comfortable for reading as an overhead light. Biggest downsides are you do have to aim the light so that you don't see the light's reflection in the surface, and the clip's bond could be stronger. ... show more

I love this light. I have given two away as gifts. The warm color and 3 different brightness settings are perfect for reading before bed. The charge lasts for a really long time, at least a few months with 30 mins a day of use. Great little product.

I bought this for my dog - sort of. If I read too late, my lamp bothers my dog. He sighs, groans, moans, gets up and stares at me mournfully. This little light is small enough that it doesn't light up the whole room, but even the dimmest setting is perfect for reading. The clip on mechanism is perfect for a real book and I suspect it will work fine on my Kindle too, though I haven't tried that yet.
