Between the jonboat and the classic wooden runabout, I'm always trying to keep water, leaves, and debris out of the boats when they're outside waiting to be used. It's critical to have good support underneath to shed all that stuff away. I started with simple, cheap folding tripod-style supports, then ones with solid bases and telescoping poles (a little better), and now these VEITHI support poles. As the title says, these are certainly the sturdiest ones I have in my collection. The multiple telescoping sections let me set just the height I want without having to unscrew (and then store somewhere) extra sections that I don't need. The legs on the base fold out and lock into place nicely. It includes straps that I can use either to stabilize the poles themselves or to help tie down the boat cover. So far, I've not had a need to stabilize any of my support poles. Finally, there's a carry/storage bag. If I had one complaint, it's that the plastic mushroom cap is no better than what I have on the cheapest poles, so I expect that they will bend over time and possibly crack like the others. I may ultimately make something stronger out of wood if that's the case. For now, though, they're doing fine.

This is a nice heavy duty cover support. The steel base is very heavy and is collapsible. The aluminum support poles are strong and adjust using the typical compression clamps. Everything works well and the design is good but I removed one star for the finish on the bases. Once I placed everything in the included storage pouch, they were chipped in a couple places. This will eventually lead to rust in my salt water environment.
